I haven't seen that he actually said that. It's been reported for months that he would go through the process then return to school. Knowing that, I would assume he wants that first round pick for financial reasons. I'm not saying it's all about the money, but it's definitely a factor.

There's a reason why Pope went out and grabbed a 6'5 National Champion guard. Kid desperately wanted to come to Kentucky sit on the bench and watch Oweh play.

Good Lord dude. All signs are pointing to an Oweh return. Why do you so desperately want him to stay in the draft? Just so you can have an “I told you so” moment?

For the eight billionth time: Aberdeen will be filling Robinson's role; Lowe will fill Butler's; Dioubate will fill Carr's; Quaintance will fill Williams'.

Oweh will fill Oweh's at the 3.

Yes. If there is competition for Aberdeen’s playing time it’ll be with Jasper Johnson. But again, I forget your position is determined by who you guard.

" I told you so", that's funny. Again, potential for top 5 team who could win it all just to say I told you so, makes perfect sense. I don't need validation or approval at all, im good.

Don't leave out the fact that if OWEH does return, Pope is going to to change his entire philosophy on offense so that OWEH can work on his game and possibly put himself into 1st round consideration....

Lighthouse made a great point. If OWEH comes back to work on his game and we get a different version of what we saw last year, is that really what we want???

I will just say this to you or anyone else who refuses to listen.

How many times does MARK POPE need to tell you that if you are not all in and all about KENTUCKY winning championships, he has no time for it? If you start pushing that NBA envelope and prioritizing that over winning basketball games at Kentucky, you got's to go!!!!! Pope is moving on, he aint got time for all that!!! Pope still brings that old school mentality that was taught to him by Pitino, it's about winning games, ask RJ Luis...

Maybe Oweh comes back maybe he doesn't. To think he has entertained the NBA for feedback or money is dillusional. It is and has always been about the NBA opportunity for him. If he gets some kind of commitment from a team via draft or unsigned undrafted free agent, he's gone in my opinion. If it was about the money he would be at KENTUCKY, this wouldn't even be a conversation at all.

I keep hearing " this has been talked about for a while" in regards to OWEH putting his name in the draft just so he can get feedback.

Who was talking about and who are they, people on a internet chat board??

Are you saying Pope doesn't want them testing the waters out of loyalty?

If that's the case, why would he have been fine with Jaxson Robinson just last summer?

I'm sure he knew Oweh would likely test. It was pretty obvious. I can't imagine he'd have a problem with it, and to think that testing the draft means the player isn't "all in" on Kentucky is a wild stretch of logic.

Pope absolutely will not do this.

Im saying at the end of the day you are either in or out...

Robinson played at BYU, not Kentucky.

Pope has been very clear and adamant that it's KENTUCKY first

I hope you understand that what you're saying up there is totally bonkers and has no basis in reality.

Of course he won't which is why he has made sure he has another 6'5 guard that could easily fill OWEH's position.

Maybe Oweh turned out to be better than advertised prior to Kentucky but he didn't bring OWEH to KENTUCKY so everything will revolve around him and his 1st round NBA status.

It's scoring by committee in his offense..

Well Pope didn't waste anytime finding his replacement.

Even if we can assume that Aberdeen was a replacement (he wasn't), then even that doesn't make any sense in the context of your post. Because you're saying that Pope didn't like Oweh's lack of loyalty so he went out and moved on.

That's totally nuts. It's one of the weirder posts I've ever seen on the topic of staying or going to the NBA. It has absolutely no merit to it whatsoever.

Believe what you want. Until Oweh says he is back consider him gone.

There was talk about Pettiford in the scrimmage games, he took like 15 shots a game while OWEH limited on shots was very productive.

                                Ask yourself this?

Do you really believe that based on these bogus MOCK DRAFTS that there are actually 60 players better than OWEH?
