Yall do understand that if a TEAM really wants a player that it's very possible to put out NEGATIVE information on that player too defer other teams from taking that player right?

Pope has said that if Oweh returns he’d be a favorite for SEC POY, etc.

It’s no secret that he’ll be among the best players in the conference and hopefully country.

Oweh wouldn't carve minutes for any of those teams right now. He is an inferior version of the worst active player on all those rosters.

What he wants to hear is a first round guarantee, and that's not going to happen. This is a deep draft. He knows it, Pope knows it, and fans with common sense know it.

He's doing what Robinson did last year: working the process and getting feedback. And he should. And he should do it with the intent of getting that guarantee, because he's a competitor.

OWEH will be at KENTUCKY next YEAR. I know it's Summer Psychosis around here, but holy crap.

Give some concrete examples of undrafted free agent contracts that are significantly above league minimum. Why would a team negotiate a contract for a player that NOBODY drafted that is higher than the average rookie contract? It doesn't make sense.

Justin Edwards made about 400K for Philly this past season as an undrafted free agent. That's got to be significantly less than Oweh could make if he returned to Kentucky.

Rookie of the year Stephon Castle made about 9 mil.

I do think sometimes, rarely but sometimes, it does come down to more than money and is more about a lifelong dream. However I don't buy the point about Oweh not being able to improve his stock. I think he could improve it quite a bit. Imagine that guy being the best player on a Final Four team. That would put him in the first round, I'd have to think, just by dint of being the dog on a team like that.

He could do a lot for himself by returning. He'll likely never be a rock-solid lotto pick or anything, but I rarely buy the "college doesn't help anybody" tune people've been singing for years. Unless it's somebody like Reed Sheppard.

If he's truly looking for a first round guarantee then he's just wasting time, that aint happening, he will be back.
