On a side note Will LAVENDER, your KNICKS are playing great basketball and YES the midrange jumper is still alive and doing well.

Im not even mad. When you blow to 20 point leads in the 3rd and 4th you don't deserve to win.

I keep reading doom and gloom today "what's next for the Boston Celtics" from trading JB, firing Joe, etc. etc. etc.

      One simple remedy, OVER CONFIDENCE.

My Boston team has been playing like this for a few years, OVER CONFIDENT show up when you they want.

Last year it worked out, they won it all but it actually amplified the OVER CONFIDENCE.

Glad to see KAT doing well. As much as I have liked Boston for over 45 years now, just could not find myself rooting against KAT.

I once followed the Jaylen Brown saga all day at King's Island of all places. That thing went so ridiculously that even after he committed to Cal people were convinced it wasn't California, but John Calipari. Wasted a whole day of my life on that crap.

He's a smart kid and NIL gives him options that a guy like him wouldn't have had just a few years ago.
I agree which is why I can't understand why he's even in CAMP in the first place unless he just wants to hear it from the horse's mouth, ,may not like what he hears, I don't know.

These NBA leaches including social influence come at these kids from all angles preaching that poison to the mind.

Come back to Kentucky get rich then move on to the next level with a bag already in place but what do I know...

I wasted similar time on Terrence Jones and his notorious Washington dalliance, but that worked out for us.

^ This is the entire crux of the matter.

He is in camp because he's a competitor fighting for a first round guarantee, as unlikely as that is.

At worst, scouts will give him firsthand input and he gets his name and game on the map with some NBA suits that may or may not be familiar with him. And he gets useful feedback.

Surely you've witnessed players testing the NBA waters before. Happens to tons of players every spring and summer.

Here's Jaxson Robinson interviewing at the NBA combine last year.

That's wild. I like JB but secretly I still hold a grudge he bailed on Kentucky, he's a odd character..

I haven't been to King's Island for years, the old COBRA ride was wild...

The most time I ever wasted following a recruitment was for Julius RANDLE.

The best recruiting battles I ever followed were back in the final days of Tubby when the guy was being fed information by Tubby's administrative assistant, then running to the board and giving out the info...but giving it in code using acronyms, so everybody was hanging on it like we were characters in National Treasure.

Willie Kemp was one of those players. North Carolina's Brandan Wright was another. There was a third in there that I can't remember. May've been the aforementioned Brandon Rush. He would come in and lay down little clues for people and folks would just eat it up...

...and then NONE OF IT came to pass lol.

                          Of course.

Problem is (which is why I have brought this up for two months) I think he's good and close enough that he may just hear what he needs to hear and goes now even if it's not in the first round.

He has the physical tools , the strength, the athleticism, it really stands out.

Don't think he will get the respect of the 5 star's but if Moses Moody can have success, so can OWEH...

As I have said repeatedly, it's not about the money.
Johnson didn’t have the option to return to college for the kind of money that Oweh will make if he returns, subsequently it isn’t a good comparison here.

It is always about the money, btw. The question is whether he can begin the NBA career now, or if it’s a safer bet to put it off another year in hopes of garnering a guaranteed contract.

That used to be something of a gamble, but it’s different now. For Otega Oweh, it’s quite different.

Wouldn’t surprise me if Deon Thompson was in there. That’s right before I joined the board in early ‘06
