Very Simple...
If if was about the money and would have already announced he would be at Kentucky, it's a no brainer.
He's looking for a opportunity to play in the NBA right now if it presents itself.
Again, there is a reason why POPE went out and found his replacement.
A 6'5 National Champion just didn't leave to come sit and watch OWEH play basketball off the bench when you have CAM WILLIAMS AND DIOUBATE (3/4) at our 3 spots this year.

No, because regardless of what Oweh does it will have no bearing on virtually any point you've made on this or the other thread.
You're just sayin' stuff. None of it makes any sense. Oweh could decide to stay in the draft today and your points would still have virtually no merit at all. You're essentially making crap up, post after post.
Do sit here and think you are the grand wizard, i don't care if you watch 5000 college games a year, common sense is common sense...
I said Pope found OWEH'S replacement for a reason.
I said I think OWEH is NBA ready but not good enough for him to come back and expect Pope to revolve everything around Oweh.
We all want Oweh back, he showed he can carry a team and get a bucket 🪣 when needed.
Don't shoot the messenger and get triggered because there is still a reality he may be gone until it's officially announced one way or another.
We want him back because WE want a title but what WE want doesn't necessarily mean that's what Oweh wants.
Will Oweh's stock ever be as high as it is now?
With a complete healthy stacked team, he may not have as many opportunities to hit more threes.
Pope is about winning. Yes he will support a player's dream of playing in the NBA but not at the expense of Kentucky winning basketball games.Comment

And we all know the kid may not be back. You're not breaking any news to anyone there.Comment

It's not the decision itself that you could be wrong about. I have no idea. Obviously if OWEH were a lock to come back to Kentucky, he'd be back.
The things is, you're all over the place. Because you've imagined a scenario that doesn't exist, trying to plot a path through your logic is like trying to find a needle in a forest. You're all over the place, sometimes within the same post. It's tiresome and a lot of times just weird.
It seems like the foundation of your belief is that Oweh has somehow tested Pope's loyalty by going, and Pope has decided that he's okay without him and went out and got a replacement.
Think about how unbelievably stupid of a point that is. I mean before you fire off another wild post, just think about the craziness of what you're saying there.Comment

Of course. But that still has nothing to do with the zany scenarios you've concocted in your imagination around that decision.

Pope is not going to let a player's NBA aspirations put his program on hold for a year at the expense of winning games.
He's moved forward assuming he's gone until he's not,it's his job.
For the millionth time,if it was about money Oweh would have already announced he's returning to Kentucky but he hasn't.
Could Oweh work on his 3 point shot another year of course but you should know that the mid range jumper is still effective, ask Bridges. Obviously the 3 point shot is huge next level but doesn't mean you can't play next level if you are not a certified sharp shooter.

But it is. Maybe it's not in the immediate future. But he's trying to leverage pro scouts and the combine to work his way into a chance at a first round guarantee when he's out of eligibility next year. How is that so hard to understand?Comment

Pope looked at about five guards before OWEH declared for the draft. Because guards can play out there alongside OWEH, as they did last season.
I'd say the staff doesn't know for sure what OWEH is going to do. To call Aberdeen a "replacement" suggests they know the deal and are moving on. That's obviously ridiculous.
But they have to be prepared for the eventuality that he might go. And we have on the position level guys who can play in his spot. But just in terms of talent, if OWEH goes that really does damage to Kentucky on paper and makes us significantly less of a title threat. Everybody and his mother can clearly see that. So I'd say the staff is hoping just like we are.Comment

I wish and sincerely hope Pope can get everyone to Buy in.
As I have said a 1000 times, I like OWEH, actually praying he returns.
Is he elite talent good no but still good enough to go pro right now which concerns me.
