Oweh is a third year guy...not a frosh that will blossom in 3 or 4 years in the NBA. BUT he is likely as physically ready as any we have had in a long time. To me once you get in the 2nd half of round one things get a bit crazy. Oweh could end up as one of the journeyman that bounce between the G league and 12 day contracts for a half dozen teams. Depends on what some team is willing to promise.

Got about 27 hours to find out I guess.

This is one of the reasons I'm confident he'll return. I could see a team taking a flyer on him if he was a 19 year old, but those three years mean a lot to the pros.

First of all, Oweh or no player in particular is a focal point in Pope's offense, it's by committee, you should know that.

Oweh's role was never to be a guy who averaged X amount of points and carry the load but injuries forced Pope's hand.

Is Chandler athletic enough to guard and score a few points?

I don't expect Chandler to be in a situation to carry the team a entire second half and score X amount straight to end a game, this years roster will be different.

As for you, same person who said Oweh is just testing the waters because that's what "we" discussed all along??

Who's we, people on a chat board talking clueless about things they don't know?

You on the UK staff? You a booster or donor? You know ex UK players? NBA players?Celebrities? People with more money than the law allows?

Here we are, on the verge of losing last years best player to the NBA but he's just testing the waters getting feedback because that's what "we" talked about?

Not about the money, not about the 1st round pick, simply about the opportunity to play in the NBA.

From many weeks ago, told you the biggest piece of the puzzle and most important part of the off-season was getting Oweh back. Thankfully Pope wasn't stupid, had a killer off-season and found what he wanted with or without.

Which is why his stock is as high as it may ever be.

Could still be a second rounder next year plus he will be older

Theres no flyer, he's a good player right now physically ready now, not a 3 year project.

If you don't think he's a good player or NBA caliber why would you even want him back at Kentucky?

How many players can come to a place like Kentucky and excel with all the 24/7 365 pressure on a daily basis?

Not only did he excel, he exceeded expectations at the highest level.

Can you show me where I said that I discussed any of this? It's been mentioned for months now that after the season OWEH was going to test the waters.

Oweh will likely be first team all conference next year. No, Chandler does not fill that role if OWEH leaves.

Please show me where I said he isn't a good player. I can show you plenty of professional opinions that say he isn't NBA caliber right now. All I've said is that he can improve his stock by coming back.

IF OWEH leaves, Pope will recruit a replacement for him.

CHANDLER isn't replacing his production. CHANDLER can't even play his position, and if he tries, we are in BIG trouble.

OWEH isn't going anywhere, though, so you need to calm your.

There have been many college players over the years that were really good in college but never made it in the NBA. I can’t explain why there college game just never let them become a successful NBA player.

I like Chandler, but Chandler only had about four good games. We're not even sure if he's good enough to be a consistent role player.

Why is it not about money? I don't understand why you think money doesn't factor into his decision. If it was simply an opportunity to play in the NBA why didn't he just declare and say he's not coming back?

So you've got some intel one way or the other that he is or isn't coming back? We're all on pins and needles here. Help us out!

                          Hence ROLE off the bench.

Pope already found Oweh's replacement, CHANDLER will not be a starter but in a role position off the bench the size, the athleticism, the ability to depend, the ability to score, Chandler can be productive.

This doesn't lead anyone to believe Chandler's role of replacing OWEH would be off the bench.
