I think it's against the rules to have it incentive based. I also think it would be the dumbest thing to do to agree on an amount and not pay up. No one would want to play for your program if you did that.

Otega Oweh on testing the NBA Draft waters: “I’m all in.”

While still having the chance to return to Kentucky, he said, “My goal is to play in the NBA. I’m not doing this process with one foot in and one foot out. I’m all in for sure.”

Unless he's projected as a first round pick, I believe he'll be back.

What did you expect him to say? If he came out and said he intended on returning to school, why would any team fork over money to fly him in for an interview, workout, or even take the time for a phone call?

Tax write off. Plus highly doubt he needs charity to attend the NBA camp, interviews are done at camp for the most part..

And based off what you have been chirping that past 3 months, "IT WAS THE PLAN ALL ALONG"

Why would they waste money or do a interview at all if he was set in stone coming back????

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but OWEH #00 if more than likely outta here if one out of 30 tells him what he wants to hear..

It's a pretty stacked draft + Oweh doesn't play the game the way the NBA is playing it these days.

Those two things lead me to believe he'll be back. But you never know.

He's definitely go the power and ungodly stamina to hang in there physically. For those reasons a team might take a flier on him, but I'd be pretty shocked. Even if you look at his shooting percentage and say "eh, it's not terrible," his slow wind-up and wild release makes him a very weird bet for any team in this landscape with the way they're all playing.

Unless I missed it, Otega is not listed in the May 11th update of Bleacher Report's mock draft. Also didn't see Brea listed in the top 59 picks.

I think Brea has a much better shot.

This is always the debate and not necessarily true. Perhaps he gets feedback on his shot, gets a coach/trainer to work on his shot and showcases it in the coming season with UK.

Not saying that all happens, but to summarily say “stock is as high as it will get” is just one opinion.

Me? I say flip a coin as to whether he stays in draft.

As good as OWEH has been at Kentucky, if he comes back it's not like everything will run through him, Pope doesn't operate that way.

I hope he comes back, just depends on what kind of combine he has....

It's not set in stone that he's coming back because if he got a first round guarantee with guaranteed money he would likely go. But, that isn't going to happen. There's literally one mock draft that has him the last pick. That's the only mock that has him being drafted at all. He's going through the process to get feedback so he can work his way into a first round pick.

What are they going to tell him,he needs to work on his jump shot?

He can go undrafted and sign as a free agent, all it takes is one team.

Average salary last year for a undrafted player was roughly 1.8 million.

This is about the opportunity to play in the NBA,not about first round guaranteed money 💰.

If it was about money, he would have already confirmed his return to Kentucky.

Mock drafts about as trustworthy as a 5 star rating. You have a few cant miss then there's the rest..
