At the end of the day I feel if Pope didn't see value or have plans for them they wouldnt be on the team.

I think Mark Pope is "in with buying the title." Considering he's been recruiting over Collin Chandler.

In fairness, Chandler will play a big role on the team regardless of whether we add a player at his position(s). Which I assume we will.

Truth be told, I'm in with buying a title, 2012 seems like a long time ago.

What do you suggest? Selling the idea of playing at UK based on our history and exposure against other schools paying millions?

It would be good for Oweh to go and get a feel of the NBA experience. He will learn a lot and make his name known. But there is a reason he wants to keep his college eligibility. As of ESPN’s most recent mock draft, Oweh is not among the projected 59 picks. NBA draft analyst Jonathan Givony currently ranks him number 86 among prospects. So unless he can make a BIG impression, he will be back.

Also going back to the other debate, I'm not sure how we moved from trying to get a replacement for Brea to buying a title.

The very first thing Pope started to do after the season was get a lead guard and a volume shooter. Wilkerson was just the latest; there were others. There are still others out there.

I don't understand how that became some kind of referendum on Chandler and/or a statement about "buying" players. I mean I would assume Collin Chandler, who went through about 70% of the season barely getting off the bench, knows the deal.

If you don't have a volume shooter--and more importantly, a proven shot maker--on the perimeter, it's very hard to run the offense. That's what this is about. Sure, you *can* package it as "buying a title," but why?
