Whoa. That changed quickly. From what I've read, it sounds like IU is offering about 500k more but he likes the situation at UK better, as does his family.

Yeah, definitely some things need to fall right...most notably staying healthy (!).

But this team on paper, with Wilkerson, would have to be as formidable as anyone.

If no Wilkerson then it's gonna be a scramble...and then probably a hope that somebody becomes available we haven't thought of yet.

When all the smoke clears, I feel like AJ is the hidden gem and steal out of this whole off-season.

6'11 with a 7'5 wingspan that can do the things he can do plus he ain't afraid to body someone and throw it down. Smooth form and rhythm on his jump shot, very fluid.

Who knows if he can play defense but I think he is a steal, putting all my eggs 🥚 in the basket on this one..

I agree that if Wilkerson signs up and everyone else stays and returns, I think we can hang a banner in April of 26..

His stats for 3 point shooting was at 46.5 percent in his sophomore year at Belmont. I don’t understand why North Carolina didn’t play him more.

2020 ended up being a really good team but you didn't know that Nick Richards was going to be as good as he turned out to be for them, same with Quickley. 2023 ditto with Oscar.

Definitely the most complete team we've had in awhile (on paper).

Per Rivals guys, Travis Graf says he doesn't think a Wilkerson decison will come today...which seems kinda weird tbh.

They're also saying Trilly is still hinting that Indiana isn't out of it.

Trilly didn't hint at that. All he said was "both sides are still confident. Was told decision by end of the week. Nothing more specific than that."

If he was indeed feeling UK yesterday, and you really never know with all the smoke that goes around the internet during these things, then ideally you'd want him to go ahead and commit. Because the longer he waits, the more whatever feeling he had might wear off and he gets cold feet.

I sort of assumed when I saw that Indiana was hosting another guard today, the timing had to've meant that they had moved on. But of course they need to build a large part of their roster, so that might have been nothing. Timing was very odd, though.
