As for leading the team in scoring, I’d take Oweh over the field personally.

Better question, how many in double figures average. I go with 5 but only 4 starters.

I figure four double digit scorers. I am going with a conservative number because we have so many weapons, it’s going to be different guys pretty much every gsme.

Oweh and Lowe are pretty good bets. Both are wired to score. Quaintance, (once he is 100% healthy) is going to get opportunities with the way Pope uses his 5’s. Aberdeen probably makes four, he will definitely get more opportunities than he did playing behind Clayton, Richard, and Martin. He averaged about 8 coming off the bench behind those guys last season. Got to think he can average a little more, if he starts (I think he will).

I think Dioubate will be just under double digits.

I feel like the others will take turns having big games.

Garriosn, if he can get better defensively, could be a big scorer for us. He has to be better defensively if he wants minutes, though.

Jelavic and Johnson are both dark horse candidates to be big scorers for us. I just don’t know much about Jelavic and don’t know how his game will translate. Pope is saying Johnson is going to be a superstar, but I haven’t really seen it yet. He has flashes of brilliance, but he is just not consistent yet.

We have so many weapons, it’s hard to get a grasp on how this team is going to look offensively.

will JQ or MD either one have double digit rebounds? Or will anyone get close to a double double guy? I agree about the so many guys and different ones beside Oweh and or Lowe.

Lowe talked about triple doubles when he was interviewed and couldn’t believe we have had so few in our history. He talked like he planned to get multiple triple doubles. I don’t think he is going to rebound enough to get one with the frontcourt guys we have.

Maybe he thinks he can get enough steals to go with his points and assists?

He probably has a better chance at averaging a double double. He can score and pass and we have plenty of players that can finish. Maybe he breaks the single season double double record for points and assists?

Probably not...but when we signed Lowe, I looked at his splits and he did have a handful of games where he rebounded the heck out of it (for a guard).

Not sure if this speaks to his athleticism, nose to the ball, or maybe just a Rajon Rondo situation where there wasn't anybody else at Pitt who'd go get those rebounds. But he does seem to be a very good rebounder for his position.

I think our improved rebounding this year will pay big dividends particularly in league games.

Rebounding and defense should be way better this year.

With Mo D and JQ we should have a strong defensive and rebounding foundation.

I think Lowe, DA, Oweh, Mo D, and JQ will be our starters once JQ is 100% and that should be a defensive juggernaut.

That group meshes and we will be hard to handle, especially when it comes to scoring against us.

Take 2/ 2 and a half points off of Quaintence....add 3/ 3 and a half to Jelavic....add another 1 to Aberdeen, Johnson, and Garrison....and add 1 to 2 to Noah and I'd say this looks pretty good. Unsure if Potter RS or not (?)
