I agree but if it's Wilkerson Chandler, he won't have that immediate pressure.

If Oweh returns, doesn't matter.


I feel they are after Wilkerson because they know something we don't in regards to Oweh though personally I feel Oweh isn't next level ready because of his jumpshot.

As for the money that Oweh may be getting offered from other schools, I'm not worried, feel we can match whatever it may be.

You don't have to be on payroll to know that they will play at the same time because they're two different positions. If we land Wilkerson, our starters are Lowe, Wilkerson, and Oweh.

The staff has been actively recruiting a scoring guard to replace Robinson and Brea. Wilkerson is that guy. Just like Pierre before him and Yates before him.

Because (again) Oweh is not a 2G. He's a 3.

You mentioned Pope had never won a tourney game multiple times...he wins two but it ain't enough. You have repeatedly stated the kids Pope got weren't "Kentucky caliber"...but you claim not to want a one and done model. By the way the NEXT TIME you make that statement look up Dan Issel and how many titles the all time scored had.

Johnson is set to get backup minutes at PG and SG because Oweh and Williams are forwards. Why would he go anywhere else?

Look Noah is good at getting rebounds, slap backs and loose balls. He's also very good at drilling a 3 or two.
Chandler finally found his basketball legs after a two year hiatus. Are these guys stars/top level guys...no can they contribute and give serviceable minutes yeah.

I believe over the last 15 years we've been Caliparified. If a player comes in and doesn't shine at the first tip of the season...he sucks, we err sold a bill of goods, has mental issues, needs to sit...and on and on.

Sometimes, believe it or not, some players need a year or (hang on ..)maybe two to find their way, develop, to shine...that's not unusual...unless you've been a Kentucky fan with Calipari as coach at the height of the "One and Done" era

1. The goal is to win a title at Kentucky each and every year, period!! It's a tone that was set many many year ago and why Kentucky basketball is what it is. Does that mean we win it every year? Of course not and no it doesn't mean it was a complete failure but mission was not accomplished, ask Mark Pope if he knows this?

2. Pope, had never won a tournament game before but was able to break the ice finally. Can I be mad at Pope for not going farther with his back up PG out for the year, a leading scorer out for the year, or a banged up Point guard playing on one shoulder?? Of course, not, it was a bad situation all the way around but had we been healthy, you never know, i can live with that. Remember, the same healthy team that went on a 16-0 run against Florida or the same one that beat the almighty untouchable Duke.

3. Please remind me of who i said wasn't KENTUCKY CALIBRE?? If you recall, hell i may be the only one here who stays in Perry's, Noah's and a few others corner when the rest is ready to kick them to the curve year in and year out. I do not like ONE AND DONE freshman but you best believe you have to get a few of those all world talents to get over the hump. From Carmelo, AD, Flagg, Wall, a few others, sometimes the one and done's are actually as good as advertised.

4. Dan Issel?? I know Dan Issel peronsally, he has property 5 miles from my house, he eats lunch next door to my business and I have talked with him many times, he's one helluva individual. He didn't win a title but if you personally ask him what does he regret, "not winning a title", imagine that!!!!!!

Mike Casey was my neighbor before he passed away, knew him very well. Like MARK POPE, he knew what it was all about and the year to year expectation, anything less is a failure, no 5th place participation trophies.....

5. The EURO RECRUIT??? If I say Chandler reminds me of a young Jeff Sheppard or Noah could be another Pelphrey, Feldaus, Grevey type of player, I get accused of being a racist because i didn't compare to another player like Miller or any other 6'6-6'8 comparable player who's played at Kentucky?

I can name 25 6'10 players who are not white that is similar to our new recruit AJ not named Grant Nelson. Beside, Nelson is a bad comparion anyways, he's 6'9 with a 7'0 wingspan, not 6"10 with a 7'5.

But just so YOU KNOW, all this bad blood comes from the fact that JON HOOD was better than the 6'2 hobblin midget who was horrible. The fact I called it out it's been hell ever since. I was deemed the bad man because anyone in there right mind could see that a 6'5 '6'6 guard had more to offer than a 6'2 guard who played at a nobody school was was given the green light to score...

For sake of the argument, let's assume that OWEH and Williams ( DON'T FORGET KAM CAN PLAY THE 2 and 3 and 4) and Noah is your 3 in Mark Pope's 3 guard offense but whatever, if it makes you feel good so be it.

If Wilkerson is your 2, then that means Chandler, Johnson, and Lowe are getting the minutes for the 1-2 spots and Perry is just there to hang out give out high fives and play the role right? Perry doesn't care if plays or not right, I mean the leading scorer in Kentucky basketball history just there to sit on the bench right??Same with NOAH, he's just there to ride the bench and watch, this aint the 1980's even the 90's or 2000 era.

You may be right you may be wrong but If Pope isn't 1000% sure that OWEH or even Chandler is coming back, he knows he needs another guard maybe two..

Do you know what Billy Gillispie instructed them to do to Hood over the summer prior to him coming to Kentucky before Gillispie was fired and Cal was hired??

They ran that kid through the ringer just to make sure he would fit in and pass the test.

Watch him cook Bledsoe in high school before his injury, he was far from hot garbage.

And btw when Cal finally played him towards the end, it was clear he was better than Mays...
