Beat me too it, a Hoosier he is.

Cade Tyson would work if they seriously after him

Tyson's not quite what we need unless it's a back of the bench player. Pope has been looking (and missing) a game-changer at the SG. Tyson averaged 2 points a game last season.

I do however really like him as a 12 or 13th man and situational shooter. We need a (much) better caliber of player right now though.

Is Rylan Griffen one to watch? KU guard, came from Alabama. Didn't have a great year at KU last year but averaged 11 a game for the Tide the year before. Kansas was a disaster last year so does a change of scenery help him?

            True 😆 🤣

            I need 2.5 maybe 3 😁

My wife is weird. She buys Kentucky gear but never ever watches a game.

Reminds me a UK/UL game way back in the day early 2000's.

As the game started, a man and woman (customers) showed up one wearing a Kentucky shirt the other a Louisville shirt.

I introduced myself and politely said, " do you know that the game just started and is on now"?

Long story short, ran the tire kickers off real quick 😆 🤣

That same day, Louisville destroyed Kentucky and Tubby in Louisville at Louisville.

Probably 45 minutes to a hour after that game I went down the street to a Interstate Chevron to grab a drink and Sam Bowie was in there, I assume on his way back to Lexington.

I was standing behind him in line and was like "man can you believe that"? He just looked down at me and shook his head, he was feeling that loss too,we mourned together for a minute.

First and only time I ever met Bowie but he was cool dude..

              I agree, it's crazy.

The Tennessee QB gave up 46k per week because his dad wanted 80k 😆

Sam's daughter played at Sayre I believe. I was helping coach a local team here and we were at Menifee County and Sayre was there. The girls had just played and the boys were warming up. Sam was standing out of bounds in the corner and reached over and blocked one of the Sayre boys 3 point attempts from the corner and just cracked up at himself. A normal human couldn't have touched the kid from where Bowie was standing, let alone reach over top of him and block his shot.

I agree with what you are saying but again, I am putting all my eggs 🥚 in one basket.

I think Oweh and AJ will be the one two punch on the scoring end with AJ being a game changer but coming from a different position.

I still think we are good by committee with Chandler Noah and Perry if it comes down to that,at least I hope so.

Did any of you read that 8 teams had rosters costing 10 million or more and Kentucky was one of them??

Good friend of mine who watched Bowie play in Louisville in some all star game before Kentucky told me that Bowie was so good and mobile that he could handle the ball and push the break before the injuries. I can only remember the more beefed up post playing Bowie at Kentucky, I suppose the injury changed the way he played.

Anyways, cool story, he seemed like a great person to me.

I always liked Bowie Turpin and Skywalker.

One time at Rupp I sat beside Skywalker at the hotel lobby at the bar. He treated me good and we both was throwing down a few shots He then hoped on the podium and did the radio show.

I was thinking to myself, he has to be LIT doing that show lol 😆 🤣

I posted a stupid number last week in this thread about some of the speculated NIL money 💰 and CRAZZED came out of the shadows from behind the bushes and said no where's close lol.

Right or wrong who knows but my buddy here would not have shared that information with me if he didn't feel there was something to it. He lived in Lexington over 25 years while aspiring to fight MMA and working for the Jones's in Lexington..

Our insiders really don't have a clue what's going on. I think it's time we all stop listening to them.

Well my particular insider happens to be friends with Matt Jones, they go way back.

Doesn't mean Matt Jones knows everything or is always right but i do know he knows more than you a I both put together when it comes to Kentucky basketball and behind the scenes in Lexington.

Still I agree, I don't want to lean one way or another until it's official.

Highly unlikely we will ever know the true NIL numbers especially with all the side deals.

Ian Jackson still a possibility or nah?

Also just scanning the portal, Maryland's Rodney Rice is an interesting player who looks unsigned.

Puts us in kind of a tough spot and moves a team that was looking like a top 10 roster into...something else entirely.

For better or worse, the top players are mostly not going to be satisfied with the UK way of 10 deep and you will play 25 minutes tops. That's not the way to the NBA in most top players minds.
