With all due respect, Cam Williams can play the 2 or 3 guard role if needed and Chandler will be fine.

Our biggest most important recruit at this time is Oweh, it all hinges on what he does.

No Oweh, then start thinking of a nick name for the upcoming team and start praying for luck cause we going to need it.

Kentucky isn’t a program that should ever need a multi-season build to achieve contender status. I don’t expect to win it every year, but I do expect to field a contender more often than not.

The problem with the “we shouldn’t buy titles “ logic is that they’re all bought. Even Perry had a bidding war with Michigan.

And even discounting NIL, they’ve ALWAYS been bought. Somebody who would absolutely know was telling me just the other day that when he worked in a bank in Lexington, all the players had bank accounts with substantial money in there put in by a booster. This was in the ‘90s.

The book Raw Recruits goes on a deep dive about how dirty the college basketball landscape, including Kentucky, was in the 1980s. That was the Joe B. Hall era...a coach thought of as pretty clean.

Now, when it's all out on the table, a coach at Kentucky has to do everything in his power to construct the best roster.

All that said, I absolutely believe Collin Chandler will be instrumental in whatever Kentucky does next season. I just don't love him as a starter and think Pope has to do everything he can to make us better at guard. Which he and the staff have been trying pretty desperately to do.

I won't mention no names because he is a friend of mine for many years.

First day I met this guy was on a Sunday way back when in a invitational golf tournament.

Now 6 weeks before this through a mutual friend, I had been invited to play the Players Club UK golf course in Lexington with this guy but a tornado high wind came through and tore up the golf course the Friday night before, trip was canceled and I never met the until this particular Sunday event 6 weeks later .

I introduced myself and wished him good luck,told him who I was.He said regardless of what happened on the course today it would be a good day because on Monday morning the next day, he was going to prison to serve his time

Bottomline, this guy was a banker in Lexington during the Pitino years and had UK players living with him and all of the above.

He was indicated for giving bad loans to not so good people and the story goes, did his time been out and successful not a blip ever since then., still i know the stories.


Since I hate Louisville, Bill Covington convicted banker Eminence Kentucky would have Labradford Smith and many others in Eminence all the time visiting.

T wilt unde pressure Williams traded in a 6 month old Dodge Charger for a loaded 60k Tahoe that was put in the name of some dude out in Washington lol... He left $2000 of new shoes in the back of his car and could care less.

I would like to see players develop get better stick around but not sure if this era and social media is going to allow it.

On some other un moderated UK fan sights, people trash Colin Noah and Perry, i just don't get it.

The Cal one and done era done messed up alot of peoples mind.

Because they have probably known the whole time it was a possibility Oweh could go Pro, Insurance Policy.

Do they recruit two more or still stick with the one SG/SF?

As someone pointed out in another group, Pope has a 1 , a 5 , and his 2-4 are position less interchangeables.

Now I took a poll in a group of the great Oweh 2 or 3 debate.

Many members many participants, it's a split or both from many, all the same.


Regardless, alot of UK fans expect every freshman to be like one of Calipari's freshman. If they stay more than one year they are failures ,makes no sense, total unrealistic expectations.
