Jaron Pierre Jr.: A 6-foot-5 guard from Jacksonville State, Pierre led Conference USA with 21.6 points per game, along with 5.5 rebounds and 3.8 assists. He plans to meet with Kentucky to discuss a potential transfer.

However...he's not a shooter, in fact is a much-worse-than-average outside shooter, so it's a bit of a strange fit for Pope's offense.

Jaland Lowe: A point guard from the University of Pittsburgh, Lowe averaged 16.8 points, 5.5 assists, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.8 steals per game last season. Coach Pope and assistant Alvin Brooks III recently met with him to discuss a potential transfer to Kentucky. But like you said, not a 3 point shooter.

          Here’s a decent 3 point shooter:

Abdi Bashir Jr.: A 6-foot-7 shooting guard from Monmouth, Bashir averaged 20.1 points per game and shot 38.3% from three-point range. Kentucky has reached out to him to bolster their backcourt.

Xaivian Lee, Princeton point guard, has entered portal with a Do Not Contact tag.

Apparently he has already been in contact with Pope and Co.

He would be a GREAT fit for Pope's system.

I've seen this guy, just by chance, during conference tournament week.

WILD player. Almost like a Jeremy Lin sort. Fires it 8, 10 possessions in a row from all angles. Crazy electric player...at that level. Not sure how it would translate to the SEC, but if you want a guard with some juice and confidence, this is the guy.

Pope has another zoom scheduled today with Piere after meeting with him in Texas two nights ago. Really selling him as a star guard.

Lee - Piere would be quite a scoring backcourt duo.

The Ivy League-to-power-conference transition worked out for Danny Wolf pretty well.

KSR’s Polacheck is saying it’s UK, Michigan, and Auburn for Yaxel, and if the decision were made today, it wouldn’t be UK.

Don't tell me Kentucky's about to get Yaxeled (I just made that up).

You could say we've been yaxed from his list.

Then, let's hope that the decision is not made today...

(Sorry. Dad joke. Probably not the best time.)

Apparently Yaxel is Auburn's to lose, which is comforting to know.

Bruce out here preparing his team for a Final Four game AND landing top portal guys.

I don't know anything about Yaxel other than he had an insane game at the end of the season and that he's considered one of the best in the portal. Does he play more like Broome or Amari Williams? That could be the difference maker.
