I want three of Pierre, Alvaro, Diaboute, and Yates.

We are only allowed 12 scholarships, correct? Five returners, three incoming freshmen, so far two from the portal. That's ten. If what Matt said is true that Pope is going to hold on to one scholarship, can someone explain what I'm missing?

See I just finished listening to Pope's last call-in show and someone asked about walk-ons. Pope said something to the effect that there is a settlement hearing on April 7th and that was one of the things still being discussed. The limit of scholarships etc. Pope didn't go into detail and the link above goes into probably more detail.

The House settlement is more than likely going to take out scholarship limits altogether.

There'll probably be a roster limit set up by conferences. It'll likely be 18 or 20 players, I would think. They might even start giving partial scholarships to some players rather than fulls, something I've seen suggested.

This guy appeared on my X timeline with some info on Wesley Yates. Have no idea if he's legit. He claims that UK and Yates have a Zoom call today...but more interestingly Yates and Jaland Lowe were on the same grassroots team.

The mere sight of Wheeler’s name makes me angry. He may be the former Kentucky player I dislike the most - even more than Quade.

Starting next season, teams will be able to opt in to the revenue sharing program and have 15 scholarships in basketball. Some of those can be divided into partial scholarships as long as the equivalent is 15 scholarships.

The team can also notify the NCAA that it will opt out of the revenue sharing program, but will be limited to 13 scholarships.

Sooooo .. if anyone was looking for simple, this ain't it.
