He plays the 2, Brea Robinson Noah played the 3.
Plus, I would not sleep on Johnson at the 2.
Kam and Diabate can play both PF and SF positions.
At this point, only thing this roster is missing will be a CENTER behind Garrison and Moreno..

And I don't know why the staff would've so aggressively pursued at least four elite/borderline elite scorers at the 2 for them just to back off.
The only way that happens is if they're tapped out of NIL...but just judging by how they've behaved for the last two weeks, I think they want that scoring guard.Comment

Oweh is a true 3, played the 3 last year, and Jayden Quaintance is a center. Are you high?Comment

Otega Oweh played shooting guard? Shooting...guard?
He was an attacking 3. I have no idea what you're talking about.
Sometimes those positions on the wings are interchangeable and really not worth parsing when you're talking halfcourt roles...BUT the over-arching point is that the players the staff is looking at for the shooting guard in the portal are different types of players.Comment

You are on record here saying the Mark POPE trusted BREA to guard the 2 guards on the perimeter???????
Get off the dope and go get some rehab...
So yeah Quaintance can play both Center and PF.
If Quaintance is the Center, kiss Garrison goodbye!!!!!!!

So lets' get this straight, Breah started at the 2 and Oweh played the 3 spot????? Same with Robinson??????

But, yes -- Jax Robinson and Koby Brea were classic 2G and Otega Oweh is the most pure 3 that Kentucky has had since Michael Gilchrist, unless I'm forgetting somebody (I'm sure I am).
Garrison isn't going anywhere, Quaintance or no.

Since i mentioned Oweh at the 2 and now all of a sudden it's a problem, didn't realize we was all in a pissing contest..
Oweh can play the two or 3, I agree, not stupid.
On the right team, some coaches would even run him at the 4 spot to be honest in a a guard lineup since we all want to get all technical..
OWEH WAS THE STARTED AT THE TWO SPOT LAST YEAR YEAR, PERIOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Comment

Re: defense, a lot of times they're not guarding their opposite. Oweh usually drew the other team's best. Sometimes he was on point guards, shooting guards, natural wings...Brea and Robinson drew the others.
Offensively in the zoom, at least the way he played this season, Oweh attacked off the wing...like a 3. Brea ran through curls or ran in transition to the corner to get open looks...like a 2. Robinson was mostly a catch-and-shoot guard...like a 2.
If Oweh returns and he's your attacker, then logic would say that he would like to have that shooting/scoring 2-guard. Which is exactly what he's been looking for in the portal since the season ended. Yates, Pierre...both natural 2's to compliment (hopefully) Otega Oweh.Comment

Pope didn't trust Brea to guard anybody, because he was a weak defender. But we really didn't have a choice.

I wouldn't think Garrison would return as a back-up either...BUT you do have a guy there who's coming off an ACL. Maybe you sell that as the plan, i.e. Garrison starts, Quaintance folds in as he's healthy. In that way it's a good enticement for Garrison to stay.Comment
