I'm not worried about next years team, and I'm not counting on freshmen for anything other than role players until they grow a bunch. Pope will find the right players to go with what he has coming back and the freshmen.John 3:3

So, you're assuming we don't sign anyone of relevance this portal season?Comment

I, too, wish Pope would’ve closed on one or two of the obvious studs, but it isn’t time to panic.Comment

Watched this guy a number of times. I don’t know if he’d have a break out year or not….

Any more interesting tid bits from Trilly?Comment

So far, I think these are the only three left that Pope is currently after.
Transfer Portal Targets:
• Xaivian Lee: A standout point guard from Princeton University, Lee has entered the transfer portal and is drawing significant interest from Kentucky. Despite having a “do not contact†tag, Lee has engaged in a FaceTime conversation with Coach Pope. Represented by George S. Langberg of GSL Sports Group—who also represents Kentucky center Amari Williams—Lee has existing connections with the Wildcats. In the 2024-25 season, he averaged 16.9 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 5.5 assists per game, shooting 43.9% from the field and 36.6% from three-point range.
• Alvaro Folgueiras: A 6-foot-9 forward from Robert Morris University, Folgueiras is considered one of the most skilled big men in this transfer cycle. He averaged 14.1 points, 9.1 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game, with shooting percentages of 54.8% from the field and 41.3% from three-point range. On3 reporter Pete Nakos has predicted with medium confidence that Kentucky will secure Folgueiras.
• Jaron Pierre Jr.: A 6-foot-5 guard from Jacksonville State, Pierre led Conference USA with 21.6 points per game, along with 5.5 rebounds and 3.8 assists. His shooting accuracy—42.4% from the field and 38% from three-point range—earned him the Conference USA Player of the Year title. Pierre plans to meet with Kentucky as he weighs his transfer options.Last edited by Bluesong; 04-05-2025, 12:38 AM.Comment

Well, Yaxel just committed to Michigan. More proof of just how fast things can change. It was NBA as the main goal, then Kentucky or Michigan, then Kentucky was picking up steam, all of a sudden Auburn is the favorite, Michigan it is.Comment
