Whoa. I know I'm dreaming, but we are at 11 scholarships right now if our five all return. Could you imagine if we add Alvaro, JQ, and Yates or Pierre?!?

As long as the price is right, why not have a kid like him ready to come off the bench for the second half of the year?

If we get JQ, and it's sounding more and more likely, I'll assume that Pope is smart enough to condition his NIL money based on him actually playing and paying it at the end of the season instead of all up front.

Dad says he'll be ready in September, but let's just say it's November or December. If that's the case, that gives Moreno plenty of opportunity to gain experience against lesser competition before conference play starts. When JQ comes back, we would then have quality and experienced depth down low, and look how much our freshmen who weren't ready in September came along with more playing time. Again, if the price is right you have to take the kid who is a projected lottery pick.

The September date is 6 months since ACL surgery. That’s absolute best-case and it happens with a small percentage of people…plus it carries with it a high re-injury chance. A lot of doctors don’t recommend it because of that and go with 9-12 months (seems like most players can come back at 9).

It could be that the grade of Quaintance’s tear was slight, but even then I’m skeptical about that September thing.

I think everyone but his dad is going to assume November/December. People are acting like he won't be able to begin conditioning until then, though. He'll be able to get in good enough shape to play 15-20 minutes of basketball with little to no issue. The kid is 17 and has been playing high level basketball for years. This isn't like me coming off an ACL tear and getting back out there.

This just in: officials are finished reviewing the monitor and not only put 2 baskets on the scoreboard for Duke, but gone ahead and granted them the win over Houston.
