Amari could've definitely been considered a point guard.
But taking out Pope's system and all that, just the *way* Oweh played was pure small forward. I mean anytime he could hit a three for you it was a blessing. Unbelievable attacker off the dribble, though. His ability to handle the ball and score off the drive is what we dreamed about with so many players over the years. Alex Poythress is one that comes immediately to mind.Comment

An interesting point someone made earlier; makes total sense but I'd never really considered it: a lot of the time when we see "Kentucky is in contact with" or "Kentucky is meeting with _____ via Zoom," there's often no intention at all in adding that player to the roster. Instead, it's just a means of maintaining lines of communication with agents, handlers, coaches, and families.
Take the Skillings guy who just now announced that he has been contacted by Kentucky. That's probably going nowhere, so don't tell yourself or let other people tell you Kentucky "missed" on every guy with whom they make "contact."Comment

I agree about Oweh on the attack. To me he was/ is that old school physical SEC prototype attacking guard.
Again, in Pope's system there may be no 3 at all, it's a 3 guard offense so it don't matter if i think he's a two and you think he's a 3, Pope sees them all as guards in his system.
Still, If the majority is convinced that Oweh is the 3, then that means Noah played the two spot, they played together at times. Do you consider Noah a 2?? I don't he's a 3 but POPE probaly sees him as a guard in his offense..
Unbelievable though.
You mentioned we needed another SG and I pointed out that Oweh with Chandler and Johnson at the 2 spots, we should be good and have it covered. Kam ,Diaboute, and Noah check the box for the 3 spot.

That's all good and I have been here over 20 years, I will be nice and take the high road, I enjoy the knowledge and insight here but I don't appreciate the personal insults.

I would still feel comfortable with one more traditional big in regards to depth just in case but if everyone returns and this is what it is as of right now, i can live with that.
Should be a fast athletic team with shot makers and shooters that can defend and chase down long rebounds....
