Yeah, this is a good point. For all the "the game has changed and gotten unbelievably old," the truth is that the one-and-done model has always been problematic.
It was always blamed on Cal's coaching. But it could be that it's just really hard regardless of who's over there on the sideline.
This title Duke may win and our title in '12 are the only two. And now we've had years of the one-and-done experiment.
Now if you turn around next season and there's Duke again with the Boozers and Henderson and those guys? Then yeah, you can say they debunked what I'm saying. But I don't think it'll turn out like that unless they get Knoeppel and Maluach to return.
Florida and Houston both have quality, experienced guards.Comment

Ament likely also wants to see how much NIL will be left and see which team has an experienced player going to his slot.
Supposedly Perry is the only Kentucky player that said after the game he will return.
Reported that Garrison stated he loved it here but he will have to talk to the coach, his family and his agent before he makes a decision.
I know I'm pretty obtuse, but what is the big event happening on April the 7th that I hear of?
Also in my thick headedness, what exactly is the revenue sharing program I hear of and how does that work? Is it on addition to NIL and us it designed to go to EVERY athlete in all sports? Is it divided by school with the school deciding on which team (or player) gets what amount?
I read bits and pieces but if someone can give me readers digest condensed version (for younger guys thats the see spot run primer version)?Comment

Please, its a guess - I could be turned around.Comment

Downes probably mentioned this above, but Kentucky has now turned its attention to Central Florida's Keyshawn Hall. Again: not a role player.
Also, it's obvious that Kentucky's looking for size. Everybody targeted so far is massive. Hall is a 6'7" guard, Demaree is huge, etc. They must have seen what's happening at Auburn and Duke and some other places and are like, "We need to get bigger."Comment

I always thought thos season that Kentucky seemed kinda smallish up front. But when you have Williams, Carr and Garrison cause one to second guess.
I've always been a fan on the 6'5" + guard size but then you see a Butler/Ulis size guard that can tear people but also...but size can be a benefit on the defensive sideComment

Size is important at every position but at guard, strength, creating shots, driving into the paint and smarts is more important if you can find one.John 3:3
