I'm not sure how much we should expect out of Moreno in year one. I think he has plenty of potential, but I could see it taking a while for him to adjust to this level, too. "Duh" statement, I know.

Gwath is still pretty raw on the offensive end, but man, the upside is pretty wild, and he'd be a lethal defender. I haven't watched a ton of his film, but I think he could be that bouncy type at the four Will talks about so often.

Agreed. I'm hopeful Moreno has four guys in front of him when it comes to the 4 and 5 spots. I'm not sure he'll be physically ready to play 10-15 minutes a game as a backup 4 or 5 should be able to, but his length and athleticism might shock us.

Not directly, from what I’ve read, but he funnels a lot of money to BYU through various channels.

Where are you seeing this? If he comes back, and we add Demary with Williams, there really aren't very many spots left on the roster.

I think it’s obvious, some players are going to go wherever they can get the most money. I am not saying this is the case with this player, but it 100% is the case with some players.

Its not cut and dry. Used to be starting, playing time, school, coach, exposure on tv, and other things.

Oh I understand NIL..but looking at a situation with older eyes also has something to do with it. The NIL is a payday for kids sure but they can still use it to set themselves up for a career after college also. Playing in the NBA, G league, Overseas, certain teams help with exposure developing skill sets etc.

Again some of this kids may just be looking at how much can you pay me now instead of longer term.

Personally not a fan of the way the NCAA went from absolutely nothing for these kids to opening it up to the highest bidder with no limits on anyone. Talk about a pendulum swing
