It's about to "pop" off, there goes the neighborhood.

I see Lowe Oweh Dioubate AJ JQ as the starting 5.

Or they feel they need a insurance policy just in case somebody bolts.

But yes agreed another shooter completes it and makes it all good

        Nobody is popping off.

I'm just saying: the point you're making there doesn't fit the reality of the way the coaching staff has behaved. If they were okay with the guys you're talking about, they wouldn't be making such mad runs at these portal players.

Correct me if I'm wrong and my brief internet research was sloppy but wasn't Chandler a 4 star recruit, a Espn Top 100 player at 32 Most rankings I found had him between 30 and 45.
Granted not the top caliber that Calipar brought in but not a bottom of the barrel recruit either.
Its was his two years off that got him behind....he blew the rust off by the end of the year. And now he understands what the SEC is all about

I don't think the NIL thrown at Wilkerson and these other guys fits insurance policy.

Yes but he's still almost entirely potential.

You're not going to thrust a guy like that right into the starting 2-guard spot unless he really makes monumental jumps over the summer...which is possible.

But again, just observing the way the coaching staff has behaved with the portal, it's entirely clear they want somebody in front of Chandler who's a proven scorer/shooter.

All of a sudden we acting like Kobe Brea was a world wide athlete🌎 ?

Height has nothing to do with it but Noah can shoot, so can Perry.

With all due respect, the 2 slowest guys in the NBA are Luka and Jokic. They don't work out, they drink beer and eat .

I'm sure I'll get told that I don't care enough, but this time last year we had Perry and Williams. Pope will find the right fit at the 2G spot.

So going by age, we have a typical aged four year Senior, sounds pretty good to me ..

He was pretty mediocre but he was quite a ways away from Trent Noah.

Plus, the last time Pope talked about Noah he talked about him needing to add substantial muscle and weight. Not really the regimen you'd expect from a coach trying to get next year's two guard to follow.

And honestly, Brea wasn't a bad athlete. I think Brea was simply used to being a situational role player. When he locked in, he could do some things athletically.

All these new guys or ones on the radar are SEC potential besides Diaboute?

                        Can they handle it?

Perry Chandler and Noah all went through it but they survived.

Now let's be honest, do we really think or believe that Pope is going to sit the two Kentucky kids on the bench or shove the guy he brought with him on the bench?

If he does and it goes side ways, he's playing with fire and he knows that.

Still, In the traditional era of Kentucky basketball, you came in worked hard and sit for two years unless you was special. Padgett Turner Nazr and others did it but then again, it's NIL and what have you done for me lately.

JWorld is going all coach of Vanderbilt on us and going to list everyone on the roster as a guard.

We just yapping, no big deal .

Brea actually showed some moves i didn't think he had in him.

I think we are fine regardless, im worried someone we assume is a lock too stay is leaving .

We probably have to much time on our hands.

When Oweh JQ AJ and Dioubate are all in rhythm and dominating , it's a problem for someone else, they going have to matchup and guard us.

Oweh will test the draft but keep his eligibility intact.

I don't *think* his shooting is conducive to the NBA the way it's played today, but a team might take a flier on a player as physically imposing as he is.

And yes, alas, he will be a guard in the NBA.
