I'm clearly biased, but a one-year ban doesn't seem like enough, to me. This is serious stuff - stuff that transcends rule-breaking and ventures into the criminal. Louisville needs to take a very hard hit for this.

The one-year ban at least is an admonition. It doesn't work all the time, but since the NCAA Tournament is the economic driver for the sport it sometimes can be a peace offering so that they don't send the dogs in.

If UofL just denies denies denies and tries to put everything on McGee, once these cellphone records are dug up then the NCAA is going to break them.

I don't think it will go that way. They'll do something to admit wrongdoing and hope that softens the punishment.

I can't help but wonder about the recruits who didn't receive the hooker treatment. How must that make them feel?? If that were you, would you decommit because you didn't receive the same perks as the other guys? Would you bargain for additional hooker comp time?

Eric Crawford with a bizarre article that invokes the Duke lacrosse case. That case was completely different; yesterday was a testament to how much proof is out there about this thing. Duke didn't have people coming forward to admit that anything happened other than the accuser. They didn't have people like Terry Rozier refusing to deny it. Just a totally different deal.

Not a good take from Crawford, but I think he's just trying to hold on to some hope. Most of us would be doing the same thing if this happened to Kentucky.

If true, it will be interesting to find out by whom. Of course Jurich will actually do the firing, but did it come from Ramsey or the Board?

^^^I'm betting on the Board. Jurich has already stated he supports Pitino just days ago. JMO, but I don't think Ramsey has the cajones to do it. He's supported Jurich through sex scandals, Petrino, and questionable transfers and recruits, among other things. I'm obviously not on the Board, but IF I was, I'd get rid of all three of these rats. Talk about an organization that needs to be aired out and sanitized, it's U of L, and the only way to do that is re-populate the leadership IMHO. None of the three are destitute.
