Unsurprisingly, the media has blasted Pitino for ducking media day. Here's one of the articles from Mike DeCourcy:

I remember other times when schools have visited after something "not so nice" has gone on. The last RP incident, the University and Cal warned UK students and fans NOT to do anything demeaning at the game. I expect to get that "lecture" again this year.

Just think of the reception UL/Pitino will receive at Cameron Indoor.

More than the fans, think of the questions about this from the media that he'll inevitably have to face at some point. Is he going to skip every postgame media event for the entire season? He could get the local guys to not ask him anything about it for his pregame stuff, but you're not going to be able to script interviews for some of these national guys who are going to attend UofL games just to get a chance to Q&A Pitino.

He didn't do a great job the last time this happened with the media, what with repeatedly bringing up 9/11. Not sure what he'll fall back on this time.

It seems to me that something about sex keeps coming up with Pitino and now it has spread to the Louisville basketball program. I just wonder what the NCAA will find if they bother to investigate this mess?

President Ramsey didn't watch the Outside The Lines piece.

You can't make this stuff up.

I can't say I blame him. If I was U of L's Pres., I wouldn't watch any of that stuff either.

Louisville released a 6 minute interview with Pitino in lieu of him not attending ACC media day. It's hilarious to watch because, come on, nobody cares what he's saying in response to these questions because there's one thing that people care to talk about, and it's this scandal. I wonder if the interviewer was like, "These questions are meaningless."

                        Pitino can't dodge this forever.

I heard tonight, the new AD at UL will be Bill Cosby.

                              Here's another classic.

I saw that the Gestapo (NCAA) was in Louisville interviewing people. Better them than me.
                              Kentucky fan since 1971.

I bet that North Carolina is loving all the press concerning UL. It takes the focus off their issues.
