This definitely is not going to die a quiet death. It appears the NCAA will be forced to take decisive action.

Kelvin Sampson was essentially barred from the game for text messages. UofL is in trouble. I would say they self-penalize and remove themselves from postseason play this year and try to stave off the NCAA dogs.
Still not sure about Pitino. Before today I thought he'd try to ride it out. But with all this, I don't know.Comment

Matt and Will I certainly agree. They deserve to get hammered. I found this article, and associated links, to be quite the refresher course on the cesspool that is U of L.....
Your best source for quality Kentucky Wildcats news, rumors, analysis, stats and scores from the fan perspective.
Please tell me an organization, supposedly of higher education, that boasts the record of this place. I suspect my dearly beloved pop, who graduated from UL twice, is spinning in his grave. They need to fire EVERYONE, bulldoze the entire campus, and start over.Comment

And I don't mind Deener. He may've been a UK fan who changed because he got a job in Louisville, but he's okay. I don't mind homerism. Root for your team, man.
Reed I can't tolerate. The absolute worst. I'm sure he's trying his best to explain this whole thing away.Comment

Watching Goodman on Mike and Mike.....WOW is all I can say.
This is going to get incredibly ugly for UL. Mike, Mike, and Cris Carter all said Pitino has to be gone, just has to be.
Goodman agreed but said he still thinks Pitino makes it through this. Says Jurich is going to back him and do all he can to keep him. Goodman said UL thinks they can make this go away.Comment

I've always thought Pitino is a vampire and can survive just about anything. But the more that is coming out the less I am thinking this. If all of this is true or just part he should be gone. The HC is responsible for what goes on within his program no matter if he actually had any knowledge of this or not. Its one of those things that the head man pays the price.Kentucky fan since 1971.Comment

The best Pitino can hope for is that this stuff came up so late that he can get into this last season and hope to make the best of it until next spring. But I just don't know if that happens. Second time in eight or nine months UofL has been embroiled in a pretty major sex scandal. Third time in the last four or five years. Not a good look.
If they do self-penalize, can you imagine the atmosphere of the UK/UofL game this year? That will be their national championship. It's going to be amazing.Comment

Game Over. The truth is out there now for all to see. There is no denying it, it happened. By ESPN's calculations at least $33,000 was exchanged for 22 "parties"....
Now we'll see if UofL has any integrity whatsoever and forces Pitino to resign, or just fires him. I know Rick has none so he will not voluntarily resign IMO.Comment

Can't view for Outside the Lines. This is a made for TV story, sex, money, sports, and a vulnerable Godfather.
Can only imagine what the 16 and 17 recruits are thinking.
For those worried about Louisville upgrading their coaching staff, that won't happen until next year.Comment

In his interview with Meiners two weeks ago, Pitino basically asked, "What good would it do if I resigned?"
And really he has a point...but it's not how things work in 21st century America. If he knew, if he didn't know...doesn't matter. The fact is that he should have known. The money trail will be hashed out down the road and will likely lead back to a booster or something. But both Jurich and Pitino will inevitably be crushed for this, just like Calipari has been for years after Camby and Rose.Comment
