Powell says she was in contact with a "Coach Mike."

Could be referring to Mike Balado, who's an assistant under Richard Pitino at Minnesota now. (Balado was only at UofL for one season.)

^ No, check that. Balado is currently on UofL's staff.

This may be his second stint with Louisville. His bio is still cached on the University of Minnesota basketball page.

There's no way he comes back. It'll be a forced resignation. Either he knew or he's in over his head given his lack of control. This is all on Pitino regardless of what he knew. It's either stupidity or corruption given the extreme nature of this both deserve severe punishment.

Pitino is now calling out Andrew McGee to come out of hiding and speak out. Urging him to fall on the sword.

If Pitino is urging Andre McGee to come out and speak, then he feels the heat on his collar.

Tom Jurich can release all the "official statements" that he wants. The fact of the matter is that Rick Pitino's days at the University of Louisville are coming to a close. And if Jurich wants to survive, he should stop placing himself in Rick's (hole-filled) boat.

The chickens (or birds) have come home to roost, friends.

I'm sure Pitino would love that. Why, though, would McGee ever come near this unless forced to do so by the NCAA or legal authorities?

If Andre McGee has half a brain, he'll keep his damned mouth shut until forced to speak by the NCAA or the proper legal authorities. I'm sure his lawyer is advising him to do just that as we speak.

Let Rick squirm. Let Jurich squirm. It's their mess, ultimately.

Rick Bozich, of all people, is calling for Pitino's resignation.

The world is officially flipped upside-down.

Here's his column. Pitino lost one of his biggest supporters in the press.

                        Kentucky fan since 1971.

That's what you call shifting the blame. I think this is Pitino's last resort is get McGee to fall on that sword. I kinda doubt that happens. McGee could be in a lot of trouble with the law not just the NCAA. The NCAA is the least of his worries right now. He's not going to take any blame until he absolutely has to. Then he will probably take down as many as he can with him.
