Watching what is happening at Louisville is fascinating....apparently they have a system where the athletics department operates as a.separate entity from the school in most areas....that is why Tom Jurich has the title of vice president of the university over athletics.
This is boiling d own to a struggle of who actually runs the University, and as of now it seems to be an even split among the fans and big money as to who that is.

I am actually beginning to wonder if the governor of Kentucky may have to get involved ed yet again as to who is supposed to be in charge of the University of Louisville.

Man, that's insane, and it's the kind of thing that makes me appreciate UK and Mitch Barnhart. Also puts into context a few years ago when UK/Capilouto stared down the faces that wanted UK to kick in some cash to completely redo Rupp Arena.

Have to think this probably puts a nail in the Jurich coffin.

I truly suspect that UL is about to get the death penalty. I don't wish for it, and I think it will be damaging, but it's coming.

All of this isn't simply lack of institutional control, it's corruption and complicity on a scale that is staggering.

I went on record in the old thread that nothing would happen to UL, due to the upscale that would be needed to discipline UNC, but this is heading into uncharted territory. I think now, UL can and will be crushed, because the NCAA can now go easier on UNC.
