I found a pic in a 1982 program that I sourced from the UK Library but it wouldn't load here. Do they have some kind of a block in place to keep pics sourced there from being transferred?

Not that I'm aware of, I usually just do a screen print of the image and edit it for quality. You can download entire media guides and programs from there, but they have a limited number of them. Newer media guides are online in other places and their catalog is not complete for historical items because of the cost of storing digital images in bulk.

Anytime I read anything about the '76 or '77 teams, I think about what might have been if coach Curci hadn't let things slip away.

I think I finally tracked down your Cam Jacobs in a 1982 program, looked at lots of pictures before I located it!! There's about 98,000 football related photos in the library (that's just the published photos not the ones they have wasting away in boxes). Not all of those are dated or have people identified, but you'll often find out who they are and the approximate date through other publications where the photos were used. Calling this one Cam Jacobs (48)! I think that was Florida's quarterback getting piled on!

I'm pretty sure that's him. Thanks so much for all the effort you put into finding it.

I'm going to go back through this thread and try to fill in the blanks where a player photo could not be found.

                          47 Chris Ward, DE

An Atlanta native, Ward played at Southwest DeKalb High School under legendary coach Buck Godfrey. He went on to play for Bill Curry at Kentucky, where he lettered four years as a defensive end and earned second-team all-SEC honors in 1996.

Ward, a seventh-round draft pick of the Baltimore Ravens in 1997, spent time on the Ravens' roster as well as that of the Tennessee Titans before playing in NFL Europe with the Scottish Claymores, for whom he served as team captain.
