The best recruiting battles I ever followed were back in the final days of Tubby when the guy was being fed information by Tubby's administrative assistant, then running to the board and giving out the info...but giving it in code using acronyms, so everybody was hanging on it like we were characters in National Treasure.

Willie Kemp was one of those players. North Carolina's Brandan Wright was another. There was a third in there that I can't remember. May've been the aforementioned Brandon Rush. He would come in and lay down little clues for people and folks would just eat it up...

...and then NONE OF IT came to pass lol.

Brandon Wright was absolutely coming here, until he wasn't.

He was probably scared off by Jared Carter, Sheray Thomas and Morakinyo Williams.

So now it's gone from "he's coming back" to "if it's a first round guarantee"?

It's not about the money. You me my dead momma and everybody in there right mind knows that OWEH will make much more by coming back to Kentucky. Forget NIL, local off the books and endorsements alone is a great income if you play for the University of Kentucky..

Do you know of how many young freshman and sophomore players have been drafted that needed to work on a handful of things??

Do you think a NBA team would rather teach a player these skills or leave it up to a college coach or assistant?

Again, average no drafted players last year was paid 1.8 million as a free agent, not even drafted....

I'm no NBA team, but I'll trust all of the scouts who know them and work with them. They all say Oweh isn't getting drafted.

NBA is a bit odd. Lottery picks, then first round….and I couldn’t begin to say why they have round 2. Easier than everybody is an undrafted free agent I suppose.

my age shows too often. If a guy was drafted by a team chances were that’s where he stayed. Then free agency. Then early entries in the draft. Then Euro players. Throw in the occasional high school guy.

nba stuff is just too much for an average fan to keep up with.

See..I don't know why Carr wasn't/isn't talked in rhe draft with his inside/outside abilities I'd figure the NBA would be eyeballing him.

Same with Williams and Robinson botb have skills that I believe would translate at the next level. But then again I don't follow the NBA all that close so that could be the reason too🤪

Giannis wants out of Milwaukee. Lilliard hasn't worked out and trading away Middleton was dumb.

3 way trade, Luka back to Dallas, Giannis to the Lakers, Flagg to Milwaukee rebuild, Lilliard back to a West coast team possibly hometown Warriors or the Lakers..

Aanother trade scenario, JB for Cooper Flagg. Dallas is a SF away from win now,Kyrie Klay AD JB Lively is right now. Boston needs money off the books to avoid luxury tax and with Tatum out a year, 2026 may be a wash fo Boston

Or, passed over in the draft head overseas and get paid, develop all the things they said i sucked at and come back to the NBA.

College, Gleague is not the only option...

All the more reason to come back to school where he'll make more money than on a deal IF he signed an undrafted contract.

Will be honest, not going to dig in and look at every non drafted players NBA current contract the past few years, I don't have the time or the care to be honest.

However, if you want to work, I will dig in with you and you can read the CBA., I would advise starting on page 33 to save some time..

So, you're just shouting things out that you cannot prove because they aren't true. Who's shocked?

I wasted similar time on Terrence Jones and his notorious Washington dalliance, but that worked out for us.

I got fired because of Mychal Mulder. Legitimately lost my job for "stealing company time" because I got onto a recruiting website during work to watch him announce.

Problem is (which is why I have brought this up for two months) I think he's good and close enough that he may just hear what he needs to hear and goes now even if it's not in the first round.

He has the physical tools , the strength, the athleticism, it really stands out.

Don't think he will get the respect of the 5 star's but if Moses Moody can have success, so can OWEH...

What exactly do you think he wants to hear? Everyone believes he wants to hear a first round guarantee other than you. What do you think he's hoping to hear or needs to hear to leave college?
