2017 Recruit Watch

If we get Bamba this class could be up there with any Cal has brought in. Still though would be nice to see a dead eye shooter added in. Could be a high 3 to low 4 star recruit who is a great shooter. With all we'll be losing there would be plenty of room for him. Will be a year with zero upper classmen regardless.

I watched Bama play tonight. We need him!! He is a game changer for any team by himself much less with other 5 stars. Guy can do it all! Hes also very very intelligent. Made 30 out of 36 on ACT

Bamba will visit Kentucky next weekend.

His final four are UK, Duke, Michigan, and Texas. You have to like Kentucky's chances.

You blame Giles' performance on Duke more than injury prevention? I don't disagree, necessarily, but I've sort of assumed that what we've seen of him thus far is a result of the coaches holding him back in his best interest. You might be right, though.

There's definitely something up with him.

Could be a combination of the injury and his youth. Could also be that Duke needs a tough guy and Giles is more of a finesse player. With Jefferson out they totally lack a player who can play with any grit at all. Can't win in college basketball like that. Game's too rugged.

Just watching him against UL yesterday I thought he looked like he was in a fog. As Will mentioned some of that could have been UL's physical defense against him, but I saw a guy that had Allen and Kennard running past him as though he didn't exist.

Hard to gauge just how much of that is lingering concern about the injury, but if you combine that with Bolden looking fairly clueless as well you would think it would be an easy boon to Cal and KP's hat.

Now this I've noticed. I mentioned somewhere that Giles' shows some attitude at times. Could be the reason.

Yes, he missed the early date which is November 16th. If he signs an LOI it will have to be by May 17th.
