Watching some highlights of the McDonald's game...

Goodness gracious get Bamba to Lexington.

Yep. Game-changer.

P.J. Washington is also a highly intriguing player. I think he's going to be a guy who really shines from the outset. Reminds you a little of an MKG sort.

Richards is going to be an asset but I'd love it to be as a back-up. Not on the level of a Bamba clearly but imagine that guy playing a kind of Daniel Orton role and just coming in to block shots. Would be spectacular to have that coming off the bench.

Green is going to be very good but there will be some bumps along the way with him. Doesn't have the explosive athleticism that Fox, Wall, and even Knight had. He's more in line with Ulis but Ulis had otherworldly skill. I think we'll be frustrated with him from time to time next year.

Vanderbilt was hard to get a read on because he was in foul trouble. You can see his versatility but he's raw offensively. Would like Killeya-Jones to come along and be a guy who factors in at the 4 so Vanderbilt can be used slowly.

Not a whole lot of total studs in that game relative to other years but Knox and Bamba were definitely two. Alabama's Collin Sexton is going to be a real problem in the SEC and was the best point guard in the game.

I think it's a near lock, but that depends on Bam.

Your wish of Bam and Bamba together is an impossible scenario from what I've heard. As soon as Bam decides, the dominoes will fall.

He said this very thing in an interview on KSR. Something to the effect of, "no one on my team was getting back, so rather than give a guy an easy score I'd prefer to foul him and make him earn the points." I like the attitude.

How rare is it for a player to be told to gain wait between his last year of high school and his first at UK? Usually these guys are sticks.

KSR just added a third name to Cal's late-period guard watch: Thomas Allen. Then, Evan Daniels reported that Makai Ashton-Langford has asked for a release from his UCONN LOI. Nothing in the article suggests that Kentucky will get involved, but with the recent flurry of news that suggests Cal's after another guard, this kid would have to have some appeal.

I'm going to stay positive and assume all this recent guard recruitment is simply because we're going to be thin in the backcourt, but does anyone think there's reason for concern about Diallo's status?
