“I believe that his mindset is that he is going to play at Kentucky next season,” Daniels said. “But I also think he’ll at least go through the (draft) process. It would surprise me if he didn’t test the waters like everybody else.”

Going through the process just means putting your name in to see if you get drafted. Everybody should do that, and hundreds do.

If he wants to be in the NBA nobody can twist his arm to make him play at Kentucky next year. But the odds are stacked against him, mainly because it's such a powerful draft class and he's nowhere close to being in the first-round discussion.

You and I can go through the draft process. All you have to do is file the paperwork to put your name in the draft.

I think what you're talking about is actually getting workouts from teams. Teams have to invite players to do those workouts. They might invite somebody like Diallo but he's far down the list of the players they're going to be interested in.

A friend and myself always joked about a plan we had. We were going to put our names in the draft after high school. We figured someone might see two kids entering at 18 and think maybe we were under the radar for some reason and fly us in for a workout.

I get all of this mixed up. Workouts, invites, process whatever. I hope he stays for next season if he comes here.
