All it takes is one team to give him some assurance.

Oweh is and has always been the biggest question mark heading into this new season.

Will he go or will he stay?

Funny how these rankings have him in the 70's when the combine hasn't even started yet.

NBA still likes physical athletes, Oweh checks the boxes.

More money at Kentucky?

Probably so but his brother plays in the NFL, I don't think Oweh is hurting for money at the end of the day.

Brotherly love and competition?

"I played in the NFL and I played in the NBA", can't ever take that away from someone.

As much as we love Kentucky basketball, NBA is bigger and more prestige.

If Oweh gets a shot to become one of the few to play on a NBA team. Like Reed and many others who came through Kentucky, he's gone.

Oweh comes back we can win it all this year .

If not, someone will have to step up and exceed expectations in my opinion...

Just to be fair, double O seeing all the injuries last year has to bring that to his mind. As well as I'm sure his agent is keeping him informed of other guys rolling down the pipe for next year.

I wish him the best. I won't say we win it all if he returns because I look at teams like Alabama that had a lot back and didnt win it.

Love to see him return. But its up to him and his family what to do.

I tend to think if they thought Oweh were gone, they probably would've gone for a more proven perimeter scorer. That they looked to be replacing other parts suggests to me that Oweh will be back. But you never do know.

Yeah, but pulling a player in that way at this stage of the game would be wild. And I mean the caliber of player to replace Oweh.

There's no other way to say it: losing Oweh would be flat brutal and would essentially ruin Kentucky's chances to be any kind of contender next season. The whole thing has been set up around him.

I mean we're not going to lose any sleep or anything, life goes on. But just in the context of having mad hope for next season, being in that state we get in sometimes where we look at the roster in the spring/summer and this "What if...?" feeling comes over us, we all better hope this guy comes back. Quite a bit depends on it.

Jamir Watkins and RJ Luis would be the first guys you would turn to if Oweh stays in the draft. But I don’t think he’s going to.

I think at Oweh’s size—height, actually, as his build is plenty solid—and lack of jumpshot—he’s probably not a top 30 (1st round) pick. That would mean 2nd round where I believe contracts are still not guaranteed. With the money he was reportedly turning down from other teams (Bama) I like the chances that his NIL deal at UK is strong enough to keep him from taking a flier on the second round.

But for all we know is there could be a team out there who thinks he fills a need perfectly. If so and they make him a promise…good luck to him. And it will hurt us significantly.
