Article on Knox.... here's a funny quote from it...
"Just recently, Knox was approached by a woman while he was at an airport in Fort Myers, Fla. She was about two feet shorter than the 6-foot-9, 205-pound 17-year-old. She looked up at him and pulled at her University of Kentucky shirt. She had a matching purse, too. “She was like, ‘Our fans, we travel deep, we travel big,’ †Michelle Knox recalled with a laugh as she tried to imitate the woman’s voice. Kevin smiled, as he always does. It comes with the territory of being one of the most highly sought-after recruits in the country. Everybody knows you and everybody wants a piece of you."

An interesting thing in college basketball next season will be to see what happens with Michael Porter Jr.
Lorenzo Romar is almost certainly going to be fired unless they just want to hold on to him because of Porter. But it will be seven years since he made the NCAA Tournament after this season.
If Romar is fired I would imagine Porter will want out of his LOI. That would put the #1 prospect back in play.👍 1Comment

Who'd be in the best position to nab him? I doubt us, with our PF position looking pretty stacked next season*.An interesting thing in college basketball next season will be to see what happens with Michael Porter Jr.

The Porter/Young package deal might be a thing again, which would probably mean Kansas for both.
*Do we still think Gabriel is a lock to enter the draft? If so, you might still have room for Porter even with SKJ and Washington on deck.Comment

After the first three or four games I thought Gabriel was 100% gone.
Then through the next set of games I thought he had no shot.
Now after the last couple he seems to be a guy that would be intriguing for some team late in the first round.
Great size. Capable outside shooter. Tremendous motor. NBA length. He checks all the boxes except for strength and ballhandling ability. I'd love for him to come back to give us something besides freshmen next year, but the great irony is that for us to win a title this year he needs to keep playing like he has.Comment

Given the comments Young's dad had about OU this past weekend it seems like he is a lock for Kansas unless Cal somehow pulls off a miracle and gets him to UK. Would have to think if Porter were to be looking again that's where he would start.

Young still won't verbally rule out Kentucky, the only way Cal is going to sell him here is to say we need some scorer's and he could help with that. If I had to bet it will be KU though.
"Young has his college choices down to OU, Kansas, Kentucky, Duke and Oregon, with OU and Kansas the slight leaders.
It seems like every day I change my mind,†laughed Young. “It will be Thursday and there will be a day that I feel I want to go to Kentucky, and then two days later I will think, Oh, my gosh, if I stayed home, I could play in front of all my family and friends.' It is crazy sometimes how up in the air I am. That is where my mind is at as I am trying to come down to this decision. I am just not 100 percent sure which school that I want to go to right now, and it is always a day-to-day thing right now.â€
