Another pick changed from UK to Miss St for Newman.... these JUCO/3 star guys are starting to remind me of Tubby era when we missed on the good players and settled. Just crazy to me that Cal is having this much difficulty with this class.

Good news for Duke as they get Derryck Thornton to re-classify and commit for 2015.

Need both perimeter scoring and interior depth.

I think Willis can score. May not be a all world defender but if you give him shots, I think he can put the ball in the basket.

Strong sense that Kentucky likes Jamal Murray for 2016 but prefer 2015. Question becomes whether Murray reclassifies. He's definitely ready.

What a depressing 24 hours with all this news....I really hope somehow the Murray kid re-classifies and picks UK, and that Diallo or Newman surprise us. Sure seems unlikely, and honestly I normally hold out hope on some kids, but I just don't have a good feeling for any of them.

Some positive vibes out there about Diallo.

I'm intrigued by the Diallo/Murray/Mulder trio to end the class, assuming he can get Murray to reclassify.

Murray would allow Mulder to just be a bit player. Would come in and immediately be able to contribute at the 2/3. Major upside but you don't know if they can get him to flip.

No. We need a couple of everything.

You don't wait on players of that caliber. One of the guys we have behind him may be a JUCO; one of our returners has scored about 40 career points.

No way this staff wants to wait on him, which is why they've put on a press the last week.

One is essential. Two would be enormous.

Have no idea about Mulder but even if he's a practice body he'll help.

Need additions all over the court. Basically have to have at least one or two more guys who can play at a high level when the season starts. Kentucky is vacillating between "uh-oh" and "top 5" based on the decisions of these final players.

Rumors now out there that Diallo could announce today. A lot of KU buzz for him right now....

Update: Now a KU blog is saying Diallo to KU and will announce today or tomorrow.

KU fans are notorious for always thinking they'll get everyone (some UK fans are as well lol). I think they got their U and K reversed...

Ha - I saw this. I assume it means we aren't getting Newman and he is hopeful on Murray.
