With that said, we need to go after Kofi and close out the 2021 roster. Google the article and tell me you think? As a side note, he also talks glowingly (more than us and Memphis) about Miami because of the relationship.
Regarding Carr, you snooze you lose! We have too many guards now. Not mad at Cal for not waiting, we will be fine at that position.
Miami has a pre-existing relationship and a perfect roster spot for him. In theory they’d seem like the ideal landing spot for him if he reclassifies.

Carr woulda been great but…we’re fine.

I do think next years team looks drastically better, though in terms of pure talent I think it’s a notch or two below some of Cal’s other teams here. There isn’t a ton of can’t miss NBA talent right now. A lot of guys who could be in the league but nobody that’s a sure bet right now.

What it does have is experience and a lot of good college guys, which is maybe better, and maybe has the chance to be a special team.

We were in for some really dismal times if UK hasn’t fired Billy.
        Cant argue with that.

It's right on par with the Wall team probably.

But obviously we got a great, monumental gift with COVID. And yet it has to be said that COVID caused some of that (stress some) awfulness last year. So it's a giveth and taketh away situation for sure.

Still, what Cal has done with the assistants to addressing the need for shooting to potentially adding an all-American center has to be applauded a little. Trouble is the more talent you have at Kentucky the more pressure there is, and after last year's mess there's going to be a ton of pressure on Cal--as there should be.

Little forgotten nugget about Billy Gillispie: 2008 SEC Coach of the Year.

Strange indeed, but that team did improve in the SEC slate.

Still should've been a lot better.

From my perspective, we pick up Kofi for this coming year....while encouraging Duren to fine tune his skills in his senior year of high school.....and then welcome him to Lexington as Kofi heads to the NBA.

I’m on the late train since my post questioning JD reclassifying…just finished listening to Sources Say podcast and Jack was talkin about that he heard JD is working on trying to get HS coursework complete, but no guarantee he will get it done in time since he has an entire year worth of work to do. I’m confused, do we hold on and put all are eggs in one basket (only for JD to complete HS coursework and pick Miami at the end of the month) or do we go all in on Kofi?

Just like Cal didn’t gamble and wait for Carr I don’t think he gambles and waits for Duren if Kofi is ready to commit. He’s been burned one too many times the last few years. Bird in hand…

^^^^Since JD doesn’t turn 18 until Nov. I say he stay in 2022 class and come on in with Skyy and Lively (he reminded me a little of Willie).
Is the NBA draft requirement 1 yr removed from HS AND age 19? Or just 1 yr removed from HS?

The latter, I believe, but you do have to be 18.

Louisville fans seem to believe they are going to land Marcus Carr.

My only concern with is potentially landing Kofi ****************burn is that Cal may not be able to help himself and play him alongside Tshiebwe and just drag out offense to the ground.
