I hope Olivier Sarr gets a waiver to play immediately at Kentucky because I don’t think any transfer should have to sit out ever. But it should be noted that the NCAA has regularly denied waivers for players who transferred after their coaches were fired. It often doesn’t matter.Comment

I'd like to think so too. Then I think about Enes Kanter.
Somebody on Twitter mentions the fact that both Jemarl Baker and Quade Green got eligible coming out of Kentucky, so maybe that gives us some hope.
Also, just saw that Keion Brooks' dad is saying Kentucky is going to add another. Probably Frank Anselem if I had to guess.Comment

All the more reason to think Cal wouldn't walk into another, similar situation without added assurances.👍 1Comment

All the media guys are saying they don't think Sarr gets the waiver.
And there is this....it's apparently never been done (that he could find) before in this scenario.

As far as I can tell, no player has ever gotten a waiver for immediate eligibility because the coach at their old school was fired. So buena suerte Olivier, but my guess is that you’ll be sitting out next season unless the NCAA decides to do something they’ve literally never doneComment

Williams from Evansville. Cal is Facetiming him every night, according to Matt Jones.
