Where did you see this? I can't find any articles about it because apparently it isn't fully done yet but should be official today.
If it's true it isn't effective until 2021, then that could simply mean that the extra year of eligibility kicks in in 2021. Otherwise I'm not really sure what "effective 2021" could mean with this particular rule.
Apparently, I got this confused with the thread topic, Will.
I hope he is made eligible , it will be the difference between being a legitimate title contender or not being one, IMO the season is riding on it.
Yes.
And not only does he need to be eligible, he needs to be as billed. If he struggles and is just an average big man, this team likely goes nowhere. Just too young. UK has to have the miniscule experience it has play well so they can drag the young guys forward until they're ready.
This is one of the strangest, most unusual Kentucky teams I've ever seen just in terms of how it's been built. It has the potential to be very good...but it's very hard to predict much of anything about this team because of all the new parts.
So its Friday afternoon and no word on Sarr, despite all the rules being waived, WHAT is going on here, Why does UK tolerate this treatm t by S÷EC office

Very strange.
But I'm not sure what UK should do. It's not like they're playing games. Unless Sarr himself is on some kind of a timeline (which I doubt), then the only thing that matters is if the ruling comes down before the first game.
Catsrock I hope you are correct in your assessment but if so why hasn't anyone said so.. While used to the NCAA putting the screws to us it is disheartening to see us get potentially shafted by our own conference, if that isn't the case then what is the freaking holdup
Maybe the SEC doesn't have to rule anything. The guy has 2 years of eligibility by NCAA ruling. Therefore the conference rule doesn't apply, correct?
I saw somebody on Rivals point out that the rule says you have to have more than one year of eligibility when you enroll in the school you transferred to.
So if that’s accurate and the SEC wants to be literal, Sarr could still be ineligible. I doubt it’ll go like that but, you know, 2020 man.

Wow what a year! May have to drop out and re-enroll for the spring semester. He'd be eligible for more than a year upon enrolling. Hopefully Sankey will just rule him eligible soon and put an end to all this uncertainty.

With the recent discussion of rules and what is and is not posted I set out to find what our mission statement originally was and this is what I found:...
