If Diallo if looking good against top 6-7 picks, you might as well consider him gone. Hope we can still reel in Johnson and Bamba. Calipari better bring his A game this year.

That was two years ago that Fraschilla was talking about.
Those kids would have been 16. Not sure how much that will factor in.
If he's drafted, it'll be all about the measurables. Rothstein says he's the most athletic player in the draft...if true there's a 0% chance he comes back.Comment

You once, very recently, said John Wall wasn't having a successful NBA career. Now you are saying James Young is...Comment

In the series against Boston, he's having succes and making a name for himself and carrying his team, maybe the second best player in the Easter Conference now. This is the kind of success you expect out of great players, nobody talks about great players like Mitch Richmond of the past who was unfortunate to be stuck on horrible teams throughout there NBA careers. I also think that we all know that Wall himself is a fierce competitor and won't settle on just being happy he's in the league.
With all that being said, love Wall, hope he doesn't put my C' s out of the playoffs. I like Beal, always thought he had great potential watching him in the McDonald's all star game years ago. He and Wall are speciall together, would trade both I. Thomas and A. Bradley for those two........Last edited by J.Jennings; 05-10-2017, 09:41 AM.Comment

I actually meant to quote Matt rather than you. My bad.
As Downes said, I was talking about the Fraschilla quote. If NBA people are having to go back into summer games when the players were sixteen to get a read on Diallo then he'll probably be back at Kentucky.
The combine measurements are tomorrow. I would imagine that will be what to watch. If he's off-the-charts athletic, a team will almost definitely take him in the first. If his athleticism has been over-sold, as sometimes happens, then it gets interesting.Comment

Here are the full quotes from Fraschilla and Jeff Goodman. They talk about a lot of players and the Diallo stuff is in the middle.
Goodman seems way more iffy than Fraschilla. Says he's been told by NBA people who've seen Diallo that he doesn't have great "feel" and isn't a very good shooter. Says he could go anywhere from the 20s to the 40s but if he does get a guarantee in the first he's obviously gone.
