By getting our hopes up person by person county to county about our team next year only to let us down. Call it what you want, he used us, feel like we been violated with no vaseline.. It is what it is.......
That's different than "using," which would imply that he benefitted from us in some way.
I guess no news is good news, we shall wait and see. I understand "gettin money" but if Diallo wants to become a better basketball player and actually have fun, Kentucky is a better atmosphere than traveling and playing in the D League with grown men who want a NBA spot just as much as he does.
Word is Diallo is struggling really hard to make a decision by tommorrow's deadline. Hope i am right but i actually have a gut feeling he will come back. If he hasn't made up his mind on the NBA by now, he isn't sold on it and he hasn't been sold by some NBA team at this point. If he comes back, maybe top 10 and guaranteed millions regardless if he becomes a bust or not. If you think about it, the better financial decision may end up being he actually goes to college for a year instead of taking chump change and playing in the D League..............
One thing that's happened is that Diallo has been stuck more now with the "he can't shoot" label than he was back in December.
Not sure if that's something these GM's have seen in the workouts or if it's just the usual smoke you see about young untested players, but regardless not being able to shoot is sometimes something that can dog a player for a long time.
I'd love to have him return because you always want athletes in a defense-first system. But Kentucky might get this guy back and see him fire up bricks on a nightly basis and we'll turn around next summer and his stock will be lower because of it.

Interestingly enough, you all laughed at me when i said Diallo could play point guard for Kentucky but i guess some didn't get the memo that Calipari was actually using Diallo as a point in practice this year. With that being said, he could be a beast on defense alah Liggins................
Is Cam waiting more on Diallo's decision or Pitt to waiver the sit out a year clause? Since he evidently wants to attend NC, are we like a consolation prize if he comes here?

I didn't laugh. I just assumed you'd forgotten about Quade Green.
Diallo may get some back-up minutes at the point, but there's a major difference between playing on the scout team and being thrown out there in the fire. That's certainly not his natural position.
Surely we will have an answer within the next 24 hours?
Has to come by tomorrow to make the deadline.
They won't just let the deadline pass with nothing, I would imagine. Somebody will put out a statement.
Strangely, and it may not mean anything, but Briscoe waited until the deadline last year. If Cal is advising Diallo, and I assume he is, then he's probably the one telling him to drag it to the very end to see if he can get a team to bite.

I don't know Bryan Fonseca from Brian Boitano but he says he has sources and those sources tell him Hamidou Diallo will stay at Kentucky for a true freshman
Hello All! You may see some things bouncing around, colors changing, and functionality being added and removed as we look at how to make some requested...
With the recent discussion of rules and what is and is not posted I set out to find what our mission statement originally was and this is what I found:...
Hamidou Diallo to Test Waters (UPDATE: DIALLO TO RETURN TO UK)
