The basketball culture at UofL stinks. The basketball culture at Syracuse stinks. The basketball culture at UNC stinks.

There's nothing wrong with the basketball culture at Kentucky. Just because you disagree with Cal's methods wrt: recruiting doesn't mean there's anything wrong with it.

But let's be typical UK fans, run Cal off, and get another Billy Clyde in here. That'll do it.

Our fans are spoiled and don't deserve the success and quality of basketball that John Calipari has given us.

Could someone explain to me why it has to be Billie Gillespie every time anyone questions Cals system. Also why does questioning, or for that matter not liking Cals revolving door program make me spoiled. I don't like where UK's basketball culture is right now, don't care how many games he wins, I wish we would go in a different direction. Been a Cat fan since 60's and will remain one but I don't like where we are right now. THIS IS NOT THE ONLY WAY TO RUN A SUCCESSFUL COLLEGE PROGRAM.

Someone just needs to start a semi pro league with some big money and sponsors behind it and form a league in the United States for kids coming out of high school, it would sell and would make money....

There already are semi pro leagues, just not close to here. It's supported by the NBA and is where future NBA Officials begin their training. They had try-outs here several years ago, but there was little interest here.

He might be going there just to be evaluated. He wants scouts to tell him what he needs to improve on which will help his stock grow during next season before actually entering next year's draft.

Why not take a first rounder this year at a second round discount? A potential top 10 pick next year at a discounted rate, i beg the Celtics take him this year if they can steal him....

No clue, but if that were the case, he probably woulda played somewhere this year and declared immediately.

I've been wrong before...but if he's just getting feedback from NBA guys, then I don't see what the big deal is. He wasn't around for UK's pro day or whatever it was last fall, so he missed that feedback.

If he's told he's a lottery pick next year, then this was a no brainer for him. I just don't see the point in getting worked up or putting for-sale signs until he says he isn't coming back.

I am staying positive about the situation. He is going to get feedback from the tryout and try to improve in the areas which he is weak. Why wouldn't he do this to help him down the road? Now if some crazy executive tells him he will take him in the first round, that is a whole different situation. Only time will tell.

Yeah, this is the kind of thing that will sour me on this whole ordeal if he bolts. I don't like one and done, but it is what it is. But a none-and-done? Nah fam, I'm out.

Cal keeps me pissed off in ways but its hard to imagine someone else right now. Cal could have more titles but the tournament is a little bit of luck and a little bit of your draw. We have had some brutal brackets. (I think on purpose) Its a one and done type tournament. Anything can happen. Even the Michael Jordan Bulls lost games on their way to a championship. If we have a series UK would be more than dominate so all of this isnt about coaching. If anyone else could recruit like Cal, they would also have one and dones but they cant. How can we ask Cal to recruit down?? That being said, the none and down irks me.

Bottomline, this has to be Cal's toughest rebuild, hope he can pull it off. I like Coach Cal but all this pins and needles in regards to roster turnaround year in and year out pisses me off. ..

What are you talking about? If the Cal can get Bamba and Diallo returns as expected, this will be a pretty darn good team.
