I remain pretty confident Diallo won't get the answers he wants and will be back. More because of the monstrosity of the draft than his skillset.
Hell if thats the case, hope he looks and plays like A. Goodwin in college

What a joke all this has become. Cal got used plain and simple. This guy never intended to stay. His handlers knew it wasn't going to hurt his stock by not playing. Probably enhanced by going to UK but never playing. I just wish UK would just say they are a minor league team for the NBA and cut the ruse of college. Because that is all it has become. They have won a lot and I like that but in the end it leaves the average fan like me feeling very hollow.
      Kentucky fan since 1971.

This continuing yearly drama is the very reason I no longer get as excited about UK bb as I once did.

But you're speaking in general terms about a very specific situation. This isn't the same as forcing Malik Monk to state his intentions before the season begins. This kid signs up, plops himself down on the bench, then leaves everyone guessing - from teammates, to opposing coaches, to upcoming players. THEN, he drags out his decision to a crucial point in recruiting for next year's class, which complicates things even further.

Let's say Cam Johnson signs up. Does that dissuade Diallo from returning? Or does Diallo's iffy status lead Johnson to pull the trigger elsewhere? Say Diallo goes and Johnson commits elsewhere; would he have signed with us if Diallo had never made it to campus in the first place?

Kevin's right. This is all a farce.

News flash folks, dont shoot the messenger. If Calipari leaves Kentucky with just one title, it just proves what we already know, Rick Pitino really messed up leaving Kentucky, would have no less than 5 titles in my opinion.Overall better coach, just can't recruit at Louisville the way he was beginning to recruit at Kentucky his last 2 years....

Magette,Brand, Avery,Langdon, and the list goes on and on. Pitino would have 5 plus 20 yrs later at Kentucky in my opinion. .

Someone just needs to start a semi pro league with some big money and sponsors behind it and form a league in the United States for kids coming out of high school, it would sell and would make money....

Don't think there's enough widespread interest for a semi-pro league, even with star high school players.

Even some of these NBA franchises don't generate a ton of interest. Doubt there'd be people flocking to games to see straight-out-of-high school kids playing against each other while they bide their time waiting for a shot at the league.
