The basketball culture at UofL stinks. The basketball culture at Syracuse stinks. The basketball culture at UNC stinks.

There's nothing wrong with the basketball culture at Kentucky. Just because you disagree with Cal's methods wrt: recruiting doesn't mean there's anything wrong with it.

But let's be typical UK fans, run Cal off, and get another Billy Clyde in here. That'll do it.

Our fans are spoiled and don't deserve the success and quality of basketball that John Calipari has given us.

By now, we all know how this works.

Geez Louise, people. The world isn't crumbling around us. He will go get some feedback and be in a UK uniform next season.

Seriously. This thread is a joke, sad, and kind of shocking.

The fans care about Kentucky winning first and the players' dreams and ambitions a far distant second (or third or fourth).

Cal is the opposite, and that's how it should be, IMO. As long as he keeps us in the hunt every single year with high-calibre basketball, I refuse to complain. I've seen crap basketball at Kentucky and while this turnover can admittedly be frustrating, the Cal era has been a blast. And in no way do I feel "hollow."
Selfish????? US FANS do not owe this players or coaches anything either, it's a two way street patna especially for a player who sits on the bench and gets a free ride to school half a year for nothing.

Winning first??????? New flash, that's kind of what Kentucky basketball has been built around for like 70 years now.....

If you have a remote chance of playing in the NBA one day it wouldn't make sense to not go and get some feedback. They changed the dates so players can do this. Good for him for taking advantage of that.

What exactly does Diallo owe you? A season in a UK uniform? Nope. Nothing. The kid wants to get evaluated by his future employer. If he gets the job now good for him. If he doesn't he will in 12 months. This is really no different than people going to a job fair before they graduate. They might hear from potential employers that they like a minor in economics, basic understand of a foreign language, certain design experience, or a year internship at a sister company. If he is a lottery pick now why in the heck would be come play for UK next season?

It's pretty clear here for most UK fans now and Cal has done a great job at selling the fan base. In his own way, he strong armed us and if you challenge him, he will threaten to leave. Fans could care less about Kentucky basketball now, it's all about Calipari helping some kids get to the NBA, that is all that matters now.Who cares if we go to the NIT or choke every year in the NCAA tournamnet, it's all about the kids going to the NBA game and making millions of dollars.

Why not just skip college all together and go over seas, play a year and get paid, come back to the draft??? Who needs college???

I am not familiar with over seas ball. I had a friend who played in Greece for a little while. I would assume that the coaching, development, and exposure they get while over there isn't as good or beneficial to them as playing in college. Come play at one of the blue bloods and be on national TV twice a week, be on ESPN, get talked about on the news, in the papers, and be easily and readily available to be scouted by the NBA. I don't think every NBA team would send scouts to 30 games a year if you play in China or Europe. Play with a few other five star players and 20 NBA scouts will be at every game. Not including the treatment you get while on campus.
