I'm pretty sure there's no professional basketball leagues in third world countries. But correct me if I am wrong. I would argue there's just as good of a chance for a terrorist attack here as there is in China, Italy, Spain, etc. You know, those third world countries that are terrifying. Have you ever been to Europe?

Diallo is a future NBA star. He ain't coming back. I only wish he had played this season.

But we will move on with him. We will be a contender for the final four next year with or without Diallo.

        Can't wait!!

Come play at one of the blue bloods and be on national TV twice a week, be on ESPN, get talked about on the news, in the papers, and be easily and readily available to be scouted by the NBA. I don't think every NBA team would send scouts to 30 games a year if you play in China or Europe. Play with a few other five star players and 20 NBA scouts will be at every game. Not including the treatment you get while on campus.
I have had friends who have played all over the world playing professional ball. Not all those places are fun and sun and it's a risk just to be there in some cases....

Diallo sat on the bench for 3 months, great exposure for him.

Now it's yes sir no sir MR and MRS or i'll crack my whip and i'll leave for the NBA, don't question me or challenge me, i am bigger than this thing here called Kentucky basketball, it cannot survive without me, it will crash and fall harder than ROME if i leave,, don't ever question my authority or the way i do things.. If you do what i say, i may get you another Championship in 10 years but it's a big maybe, do exactly as i say.......
What coach in the country would give us a better chance at winning a title than Cal? The guy has had four final four teams since he has been here. That's four legitimate chances at winning a title. What coach in the world could give us more in the last eight years?

So you answered your own question about why come to college for one year instead of going overseas.

He wasn't in a position to go overseas by coming in during the season. It was either come practice against guys like Fox and Monk or play in high school. If he is good enough to get drafted top 20 then good for him. He would be a fool not to go.

Not answering any questions at all. Plain and simple from here on out, to hell with Kentucky and college all together. If you are that good and you have FUTURE PRO POTENTIAL, you do not need Kentucky, College, Calipari, or GOD himself. Simply go over seas get your money and come back a year later, it's plain and simple.......

But not all of those places are fun in the sun and it's risky just being there. Why would a kid want to get put in that situation? He could go to college and get treated like a king for a year?

On the bright side of things, CALIPARI is still getting his millions and millions of dollars........

Or he could go overseas and get paid, get treated like a king(yeah the woman really love the American ball players over there) and still go to the NBA. College is a waste of time now for players, it's really is......

I think some organization or group needs to be started. For every top 50 player coming out of high school, someone needs to be blowing up the twitter, facebook, and instagram accounts of these kids planting the SEED to these kids to skip college and go overseas right NOW and get paid, why waste a year of your life in college when you can get hurt or expose your flaws in your game?

Clearly it is a smarter decision to go to college for one year. There's only a handful of Brandon Jennings and Mudiay examples. There's hundreds of kids that got drafted after one year in college.

I'm not upset over this for the simple reason there's nothing I can do about it. I do feel he's interested in much more than an evaluation. If someone tells him what he wants to hear, then I'd say he's gone. If not, he'll be back. Either way life goes on.

Agreed. I love keeping up with Kentucky basketball, recruiting, etc and feel I am pretty invested as a fan. But for people to be getting this upset over an 18 year old wanting to make millions of dollars is pretty hysterical. I don't blame the kids. Do I like it? Nope. But I didn't make and can't change the rule so why stress and moan about something I have zero control over? I didn't mean to imply that he ONLY wants an evaluation, but that I don't think he will hear what he wants, take his evaluation, and play at UK next season.

All kinds of leagues in the world, not everyone playing overseas is playing in China or some of the bigger named countries...

Of coz i have been to Europe, was heading to Norway and Moscow this year before i stroked out 5 weeks ago, now i a don't know. Many friends in Russia, France, England,Norway, Greece, Ukraine, and abroad. Actually, in some places it's more sercure than the USA. You either follow the rules or your out, over there nobody cares if you get your feelings hurt, nobody is going to hold your hand, no so liberal.....
