What've you seen re: Petty to make you say that?

One is the fact that he set his announcement date right after the UK visit. Usually (not always) a good sign.

And it just seems sort of a natural fit. Cal was clearly on him early, we don't have another player like him in the queue...I just tend to think we'll get him.

And set his announcement date for Nov 10. During halftime of his first high school game in Huntsville, Al. Doesn't exactly sound promising to me.

Ben Roberts says no rescheduled date has been set as of now for him to visit before his announcement. The "experts" still have him as a heavy UK lean but I would hope Cal can catch up with him before November 10th.

Without any inside info it looks like those two players aren't keen on playing together. It could mean nothing, but it is strange.

Kentucky has watched and offered Florida decommit Shai Alexander. And per some reports, they're in the lead for him.

He's a top 50ish player. Cal has gone this route before with Stacey Poole and Charles Matthews. Seems to try and get at least one commit early with these classes who want to "wait and see."
