I hate to say this but I don't think we are Young's first choice, I would like us to be but for some reason I think his order is: Duke (team up with his buddy Carter, he's going to Duke unless he just makes a hard shift and decides Harvard it is), UK then Oaklahoma. I'm trying not to get my hopes up to high for him. I've already got my eye on some of the 2018 class.

I believe Young cut Duke from his list.

Would be nice to get a commitment sometime weekend to get on the board for 2017. You know Cal is going to be pushing it.

This from KSR today- "Cal really, really, really wants Young to leave Norman for Lexington. Oklahoma is in contention, but Cal’s biggest competition is Kansas, where he’ll be taking an official visit next weekend."

Im just trying to keep up with the all recruiting information. and its abit hard trying to track it all.

Haven't heard much from this weekend other than the fact that PJ Washington's dad was wearing a UK jersey at BBM.

And Bamba showing up was a nice surprise.

We're in that every-other-year thing again. Last year Cal got mostly who he wanted, but there's been a valley after those hauls since he's been at UK. I can only guess that the reason for that is it's easier to sell kids after you've had a couple stay until they're sophomores and you've brought in a few no-doubt pros behind them.

This team's going to be very good but there are some questions about whether two or three guys are legit one-and-dones. Even with a guy like Monk: if he's a pro, it'll have to be as a PG. He's not going to play that spot at UK. So there you have indecision, and I think that's what creates these ever-other-year situations.

We'll still end up with a haul, but because of what we're going to lose it needs to be a great class. The good news is this year's class is probably better than last year's, and last year's was extremely deep. A lot to pick from.

Most part on the possible recruits its quiet down abit. Still keeping an eye on it and hoping to hear something soon on a commit, seems to take alot of time for an announcement,

Not really news but he has officially trimmed his list to UK & Bama, and plans to announce in November.

Ok, we have a good chance...I don't see KU over us, Oaklahoma is more of a threat than KU.

It's looking more certain that Petty will be our first commit.

Think PJ Washington is pretty much a lock as well.

The news that we were back on Billy Preston is interesting. He's a highly intriguing player and may be one of the two or three most purely talented in the class. Though if you run at him you might distance yourself from Bamba.

What've you seen re: Petty to make you say that?
