Just to make things even more fun and to gauge everyone's feelings let's name a coach and obviously we can use the same ones. Anyone else like that idea?

^I actually like that idea a lot, as long as we're looking at how a particular coach might have used a particular player (or group). Might add an interesting element to the discussion.

I know that we will only pick between the obvious 4-5 coaches but I think it will add to the fun. We just need someone with more seniority than me to make the call. If so, we could add our coaches to the other thread where we are listing our individual teams.

I select Marquis Estill. He was was the go to for points in the paint on one of my favorite teams. He scored more points and grabbed more boards than another big name font court player still out there. (he was also a better defender)

Been away awhile but I'm pretty sure this guy has not been picked. One of my favorites to watch. I will take Heshimu Evans.

Bennett, Rhodes, and Evans. Probably would have chosen those three to finish out my roster. You guys have smoked me!

I'm from Harlan County originally and I had thought about going with him with my last pick. He may have been the best all around athlete UK has ever had.

Maybe, but my guy Cotton Nash might argue. He was 3 time All American in basketball at UK, played in the ABA and also played pro baseball.

How did we forget about Evans? Hard to see now, but how do we forget about Briscoe? Kid can play 3 positions, can get to the rim,physical, rebounds,plays lock down D, only problem is shooting. .

I didn't forget about him. I thought I would take him as a late round sleeper; but there was always too many better players to take. I fully intend to take Brisco with my 8th pick if he is still on the board.

BTW I am surprised no one has taken Allen Edwards. Really valuable role player.

Absolutely on my radar as that 7th or 8th guy who brings intangibles and THE RING.

Bennett and Rhodes were guys I wanted for the way underrated talent aspect, and now they're gone. Have to maximize one's picks at this point. I'm sorry but I have to sleep on it.

I had classes with Pope, DA, and Edwards. All good dudes.... well DA always seemed miserable and never spoke. Allen struck me early on as delighted to be a Wildcat in the most innocent and charming of ways, I never saw him "Big Time" anyone.
