Two things. If I had not misread the rules, KAT might have been picked 1 or 2. When I made the 1st pick, I had the understanding we were selecting players based on their entire career, not just at UK. With AD's injuries, especially in the NBA, I elected to go with Cousins. When I went back and reread the rules, Will had jumped on AD, and I figured Cousins wasn't a bad pick anyway.

As for Winston Bennett, I called several of his games when he was at Male, and he was a beast from the start. Later, I met his Mom and Dad, and saw real quick why he was a gentleman.

My calculus was that there were fewer transcendant true SFs than bigs. Prior to this NBA season I didn't think KAT was that good.

My back ups are mostly off of the board now, and I think I might have overestimated 'Toine's appeal...could have nabbed him later. With that said, I drafted a starting 5 that brings championship experience, and I mean starters from championship teams, across the board. Now I need 3 subs. Since Winston Bennett and Gerald Fitch have been taken, it's time to bring back the home town hero, starting at "swing man", John Pelphrey.

Karl Towns was 16 yrs old scoring 16 against LeBron James and Team USA good. .. He could always shoot the 3 point shot but needed Cal to refine and prepare his post game....

If I were starting a team now Towns would be the guy I would start with. I think he will be NBA MVP sooner rather than later. But due to so much talent around him and I think being somewhat misused as well his one year at UK does not come close to ranking with the great ones. Since we are looking at what you did at UK I chose to go a different way.
