That’s a given. This is a bigger thing than just next year. We’re just gonna have to come to grips with that. This is a build. That was inevitable years ago when you looked at how Cal built rosters and how he was just going to rip the stuffing out of the program when he left.
And you know he was going for maximum effectiveness too.

Right! Think what it would be like next year if Cal got another year. Now we will be in the midst of the rebuild.

If they can help us win, I don't care if he brings the entire team.

Sure, but another way to look at it is do we want to replace a team that lost to Oakland with a team that lost to Duquesne.

I'm pumped for Pope, can't wait to get started. One reason I'm pumped is I know he's going to have the ability to attract better players to Lexington than he could to Provo.

But as Will and some others have said, we may not have much of a choice for this first season. Perhaps those BYU guys, complemented with some players like Perry, Z, Richmond, and dare I say it, Reed, would be a second weekend (or beyond) team.

Not a shock. The surprise for me would be Reed staying. These were Cals guys.
as will has pointed out, expecting anything next year is way too long a shot. Pope has a SYSTEM he will recruit for, not necessarily the most gifted future HOF pro player.

It would actually be more reasonable to think of this as at least a four year rebuild, transfers or not.

Right now I'm just hoping for some excitement and a team that plays hard.

Good luck playing for Cal, he's not ever let Z do what he really wants to do,spot up and shoot 3's plus he will recruit over him.

Z will be lucky to see 20 mpg in Arkansas..

On the flip side, Z may have just put his name before the 1st.

Hopefully Pope will at least get a sit down with Z...

It is a possibility some will be testing the NIL possibilities under the Pope regime

Alot of players with the exception of Reed and Z aren't really made for Pope's system and what he wants to do. So without me having to looking over everything.. IS burks still on the team ? Ugo? Dj ?

Weirdly enough, Joey Hart fits what Pope wants to do more than any other player we have not named Reed or Z ...

Drexel’s Amari Williams to visit Kentucky. Really intriguing player.
