These kids signed to play for John Calipari, not UK. Several folk reminded me of this year's ago. Very few kids still around dreaming of wearing school colors anymore....anywhere. 2000 + kids in the transfer portal should really drive that home. There may be a few.
definitely minority. That kinda thing is saved for the military academies, maybe a few of the private schools. Not so much the power 5 teams.
we got a whole crew when Cal came from Memphis. Losing his whole recruiting class and several former recruits is just the way things play out.
Rebuild time.
After the past few years, likely for the best.👍 1Comment

The only time I have believed it when a player said UK was his dream school is when it comes out of a local boys mouth. When anyone else says it, it has just meant that UK is their dream school because of John Wall, Davis, and other stars that have came and went in the Cal era.
It will be interesting to see how many of these recruits do follow Cal to Arkansas or if some of this smoke around Cal not telling any of the players the plan has any truth to it. I think this may be a little different situation then when Cal left Memphis and brought those with him, with the NIL now it's a different ball game. All I know is that I have ate my last meal that includes anything with Tyson chicken on the label.Comment

There just aren't any players in the Cal era you can love more than John Wall, the guy truly loves Kentucky. I hope whoever the new coach is sees that and continues to bring him to a lot of events, games, etc.
From KSR.....
John Wall is a Kentucky fan for life
On John Wall’s new podcast, he shared his thoughts on John Calipari leaving Kentucky for Arkansas, saying “it was time†after the last four years of disappointing results and the following fan reaction. Wall spoke to Calipari the day after Calipari took the job and said he believed the move had re-energized his old coach, partly because Arkansas had made him feel loved again.
Like all of Calipari’s former players, Wall will support Calipari as a Razorback. However, Kentucky is still home, he says. “Even though Coach Cal has separated, that’s still the place I call home. That’s where I went to college. That’s why I left high school and learned how to be a man on another level to prepare me for the NBA. So, whoever they get, I hope it’s great. I hope I can build a relationship with them and I hope it’s a guy that can get them to where they want to get to and win more championships.â€

Have to be honest, the roster situation has me a little uneasy and bent out of shape right now, especially without a coach in place..
Do we have enough money and resources to entice Reed Thiero and Ivisic to come back, it's good foundation to build on....
