^ Having said that, we're slowly reaching the point where he's having to assemble a second team. Because we need so many players all these guys he's getting aren't automatic starters or even key players. He's having to basically build a roster, and in a system where he wants to play 10+ guys a la Pitino. So there are going to be signees coming here that Kentucky fans don't get, but those guys will likely be second stringers and/or back-of-rotation players.

That said, he doesn't have a take-over-the-game guy yet, which is why somebody like Robinson is so big. We're still in role player land, which is great but you've got to have a couple of studs to bolster your team. Osobor might be that type of player as well, maybe.

Not sure but i hope it's the 6'11 range, not the 6'8 range.

6'8 range means it the same range as OSOBOR, Carr is probably a bench player behind Williams and Osobor if he commits.

If he is 6'8 and can play sf and pf, problem sovled..

Great post Will, I was going to mention this. The guys we are getting have all started last year and scored in double figures for the most part. Even if not promised, it was likely obvious in their eye they would start here or play heavy Reed and Rob type minutes. But only 5 can play at a time and if we get 10 guys who all started last year and average double figures the math simply doesn't work. Some or going to be quickly unhappy. A couple more top dogs and the roster needs rounded out by reserves in some form.

For sure! I am looking forward to it. No idea what to expect. I assume we are not allowed the summer trip/tournament this year?

I am as excited and engaged as I have been in years. Technically Pope has only been on the job for like what 14 to 15 days, this isn't the old days of rebuilding in the 80's and 90's.

Free Agency NIL you can win now!!!

About JQ.....two million a year? Really? For a 16 year old?

                        That's really pretty mind blowing.

Goodman says it's looking like UCONN for Aidan Mahaney.

Interesting news with Brea visiting Kentucky.

That would be exciting. Not saying he’s Reed Sheppard—if he were he’d be in the draft, not the portal. But he shoots 3’s like Reed and has Reeves’ height. 🤞

Perhaps more like a Kellen Grady with healthy feet? I’d take that right now.

I think the signing of Liam McNeely opened up the door again for Brea in my opinion.

Yes for most it's all about money but it's still about playing time too.

I may be wrong but i don't think any of these kids are going to a school 10 deep on a roster.

Cal had a lot good players last year and that may have been the last of a dying breed..
